Burrrr....I hate snow.

This trick came in handy during our last Nor'Easter and power was out for 3 days.
Gas water heater? Turn up to 200 degrees. WARN EVERYONE!!!
Put canned soup, vegetables, etc. (unopened) in large pot of HOT water. Trickle more water over as they heat. Chicken tenders (in sealed bag) work as well.
You can cook on the car engine, too. Use plenty of foil.

Donner Party Food Tip: Children are tender.

Warm food = higher morale.

Be safe.

Did I mention that I hate snow?

I live in New England. On an island. At least once a year power goes down. I'm prepped, but many others aren't.

It's the middle of the country that is having a blizzard now.

My WARM heart and prayers are with them.

I hate snow!

You lot could learn a thing or two from us Brits.

We, in essex, had snow nonstop for 6 days last week and we didn't moan at all and the power remained fine at all times!!!

I suppose I should mention we only reached 1mm of laying snow so maybe I've got this all wrong.

In all seriousness guys, stay safe and stay warm. Next time I crash my plane, ill send you the remains for firewood!

Oh just living on a ISLAND you say! In picturesque New England you say! I'm blowing all the snow we have your way purely out of envy. All kid'den to side, stay safe my friend, I'm not a huge fan of the white stuff either (with exception to skiing)

been Noushed lately?

I'm in upstate NY .. don't mind the snow at all. There's a meme out there that reads "96.5% of Americans scream "OH S**T!" right before slamming into the ditch on a slippery road. The other 3.5% are from upstate NY and they say "Hold my beer and watch this...". Mind you, I do not condone drinking and driving.
Now wind .. wind is a different beast. I hate wind. We've had some nasty wind storms the last couple of years. Give me all the snow you want, but keep the wind. I lived in the midwest for a time and when the sky would turn green and the tornado sirens would blow ... ugh.

I LOVE snow.Thing is you dont get too much of it living in almost the middle of NC.I enjoy it when we have it though. We dont usually have snow but we got some about a week ago and my relatives in SC who live near the beach got more snow than us.

What I don't love about Canadian winters are the summer drivers with all season radials insisting that they don't need winter tires. It's Canada dude! Yeah it's winter from November till April/may. Get over it, buy winter tires. You will save that amount by not getting towed, or your life from a horrific accident.

P.S. I grew up in Northern Ontario where we didn't bring out our snowmobiles until there was 4 feet of the white stuff. That was before Christmas, baby. We learned to drive Our vehicles in all kinds of winter weather.

I survived Boston winter blizzard of '78. Yeah it was bad.

Yes. The UK did have a lot of snow recently. It was more than 1mm in Worcester though, Richyroo. It was very hard to drive. The point about the Worcestershire council is that always leave the snowploughs in the garages till the last minute.... It causes havoc on the roads!
