You ask, I answer.
The Good:
I really like the update. I felt like the planes were considerably slower, but in comaprison to everyone, I see it as equal. The planes are 10 times more stable. There used to be a lot of shaking, bumping, etc. Now it is smooth and steady. The tracers are smaller and do not obscure my targets. As a result of these two improvements and due to clearer graphics as a whole, I can snipe another plane 1/4 the way across the map. LOVE THAT! My head-on game is much improved.
The Bad:
Plane does seem much slower and downward dives are less responsive. I have actually countered this by inverting and pulling up when I need a quick dive. This has had it's backfires and gotten me shot down on several occasions.
The Ugly:
CRASHES! in the plane, not the app. I have crashed more since I updated (during the last week) than I did in my first week of playing. I seriously believe I crashed into smoke the other day. If I do not kill my opponent outside of 10 plane-lengths in a head-on fight, I know I will crash. The planes are MUCH less stable in take off and landing. Someone said yesterday, "It's like trying to land a unicycle," and thats the perfect description.
and The REALLY Ugly:
I hate the new tanks! I have actually rolled the new tank several times by making a sharp tuen on level ground. These tanks are the Suzuki Samuri of tanks. They roll at the slightest bump. the only time I am saved from the rolling is when I destroy myself with a tank shell... WTH is that? If the turret is pointed too low, you die. If the hangar you are shooting is too close, you die. If another tank you are shooting is too close, you die. So, in the new tank if you move, you turtle and you die and if you shoot, you die. I hate the new tanks.
Until today, the lagging actually seemed improved to me. Today, it has sucked.
Oh yeah, has anyone else noticed the lost connection problem is nearly gone? Good work Z. I like the update.
My opinion,
