Hi there,

Just some quick notes about the 4.4.19 update and most common lag questions.
Beginning with the update:
The update although it doesn't seem like it, was a major rewrite of the game (in fact I was about to call it 4.5 but I couldn't include all I wanted for that update). The main issue that it solved was different speed for different players.
Up to now, if you had a hyper fast phone, you could rotate and zig-zag faster than someone with a slower phone. This was unfair but not easy to solve because some old phones were... well... really really old.
Since now Android and Apple won't allow for many updates to older phones, everybody should playing the game should have a fast enough phone to adapt. Therefore now it doesn't matter if your phone is low end of high end, you should fly and rotate at the same speed although you may lose some graphics quality.

The problem with these changes is that people that have a fast phone, will see their rotation being slower compared to previously. This is completely normal since they should have rotated at that speed always but they had that unfair advantage. In exchange they will notice now a very crispy and smooth game play.

Bugs:
Since 4.4.19 was a major update, I screwed a few things up. I'm working on those since yesterday and released a few patches already. Still looking at:
Rotation of person and tank seem too fast sometimes.
Samsung S2 and S3 crashes randomly. I'm in touch with Samsung on this since it's actually a phone bug.

Now, about the servers:
We have more powerful and faster server connections right now. So why do we feel like before or even slower?
Several reasons, since all data is migrating from one server to another as people log in. But the top 1 reason is huge download rate. Literally more than 50,000 people a day downloaded the new update which caused a massive flood of users to the new servers. They try to automatically load balance (and they actually did a pretty good at it) but it's still a huge traffic. When most people get the new update and it all goes back to normal you should be able to tell the difference in improved lag and reliability.

Nevertheless, at this point you should be able to see that you get disconnected less often and it's very odd you have a few hours of those not able to connect message. (in fact if it all went well, you should never see those for more than 5 minutes again).

Thanks for your understand and again, big thanks to the mods and beta testers writing emails with all found problems!
Will release updates to Google Store as soon as I get those bugs fixed!

Program still has issues. One that happens all the time. I line up a plane. I first must press my fire button two times before it will begin to fire. As the enemy plane approaches my line of fire, my bullets stop firing, but the second the enemy plane passes my line of fire, the bullets resumes firing.

Also, when I shoot an enemy, I must hit it 4-5 times (shown on screen) before they are killed. But when an enemy fires at me, one burst, and I am dead.

Good luck,

Wumper

What phone and what OS Stuart? If android, look at Settings, About, android version.

Joaquin, how difficult would it be to make the size of the fire/bomb buttons customizable?

Stuart, this could be a graphics lag - what phone are you on? - it could be system lag, or, it could be that the enemy is shooting your bomb. If a stray bullet hits your bomb underneath your plane, it blows up, and takes you with it.

Thanks for your hard work, Joaquin.
See you in the skies!
