I just want to know how yall feel about it. I believe it gives a great advantage to those that use the Ipad with dogfight. I'm not dogging yall that do actually I consider you to be blessed. I wish I had one. But I get the feeling that yall are about impossible to match in close quarters. I love playing this game on my HTC and have been so since I started a year ago.

I agree there could be a definite advantage, but in my case I feel it compensates for my aged eyes and levels the field against all those blasted 14 year olds! ;) You trying playing with bifocals! I bet your arms aren't long enough either :P

As far as I'm concerned the iPad is a performance-enhancing device, and it should be BANNED!!!!

There are some great tablets that are android based. Also some phones with larger screens. The better graphics help but your swinging a much larger object around. I think the smaller phones with good chips are better for chasing and the tablets have the advantage in sniping.

both are advantages. Good connection and newer device are the main advantages.

I agree with Kevy. iPads help you hit objects from far away and make "noname" pilots not a problem because they are easy to see. I still get the snot blown out of me from guys that I know are on phones and I think it's partly because the can flick that phone around a lot faster than I can my tablet.

I used a pad a few times while recuperating. The weight made it impossible. Solution? 1/8th inch bungee, hook, miniplunger.
Hook in ceiling. Bungee attached to hook & plunger.
Plunger to back of pad.
No weight=freedom

Hmmm, bungee attached to hook and plunger. Plunger to back of pad. Pad attached to Paul Mantz, Jr. I'm no math expert but I would suspect that would = Paul Mantz, Jr. hanging from the ceiling in a tangled mess. LOL

I played on an IPad just a couple of days ago and I saw no advantage. I usually play on a Samsung GS2 Skyrocket and have no problem. I could understand the Iphone being a little small, but the Ipad was too big/heavy. My wife still won't let me play on her Galaxy Note, I think it would be optimal.

The iPad takes getting used to so maybe the performance edge isn't immediately apparent. But I definitely think there is one. Switching between the phone to the pad and back is like Jekyll/Hyde stuff in my experience.

Whenever I've read that play with an iphone was better. I never had a chance, the only thing I know is that to change a motorola atrix for samsung S3 is much better for the dimensions of the screen ...
Jacob, friend, lol and tell your wife to let you play at least once with the Galaxy Note ...

I play on an old iPhone 3GS that is struggling with the latest versions of DF ... along with struggling with these old eyes. I'm considering one of the 7" tablets .. thoughts on the Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire HD?

I use an iPad but have played on my sons Fire(non-HD) and it was comparable. Not quite as good but close(old eyes too). My mother-in-law just got a Fire HD and I was very impressed with the display. I will also say that I have been very impressed with the regular Fire. It really is a fine tablet. I'm a big Apple fan and prefer the iPad, but if I'd never used it, I would have been blown away by the Fire. Definitely recommend it. Even if it is android based.

my loving wife bought me a iPad for Christmas, I try to use it but it's so big and bulky
that it's impossible to chase anybody without being shot and I have yet to kill a tank with it.
but for the longshots it's grrrrrrrrreat!!! Wigs we'll testify to that... :) if I could pick him off
before he got close there was no problem. but he's a slippery one. :o

I guess it's what you're used to using. I have played almost exclusively on the ipad for the last couple of weeks. Before that I used my iPhone or my son's Fire almost equally. Now my account is recognized on my iPhone for what ever reason and I can use all my planes and do not have to wait for the ad timer to expire. So I tried playing at lunch today. Played a couple games and got murdered! The controls are completely different. The targeting seems different. And as I've mentioned before, I am colorblind so I had a much harder time even seeing the targets and tracking arrows and the map is nearly useless. It was incredibly painful. I don't know how I played on the phone before. Maybe I was just that much worse when I started that I didn't realize it. But for me...NOT using the ipad is a definite handicap.

I think the advantages of an iPad are more long term than short term The repetetive lifting, turning, wrenching, neck turning, and spiral twirling as I let folks shoot the crap out of me has given me forearms like Sammy Sosa and great abdominal strengthening. I can now pick up loose change on the floor with my navel, and my ballroom dancing has improved exponentially. :woohoo: :woohoo:  :pinch:

Hey guys, Raptor here with my two cents. I believe it's what your use to. I have a android phone 4inch screen, a nexus 7, and a new iPad. I play the game on all of them, yes the bigger the screen the better visuals. I think the over all best performer for myself i mean, is the midd size pad, nexus 7. But I can quickly adjust to what ever I've chose to use at the time. I like the iPad but its a little bulky for this game and after almost knocking my girlfriend out with the iPad due to the quick maneuvering needed to avoid being shot down by Soos! I don't use it for the game unless I'm alone now. For the obvious safety concerns.

That's my two cents,
Raptor
