Happy near year. Lets start the year with some positive momentum. Heres a poem I wrote.

'triple negative'

roses are green
violets are too

their aint no nothing
that I cant do


repeat it whenever you doubt your abilities

one of my friends who goes by the name phantom fighter here, is also great at writing poems but a bit shy about sharin em

so I ask him to post here the complete poem, the beginning of which is mentinoed in his sig.

ive already started a thread for this poem...but i guess i'll rewrite it... :blush:
as a phantom, of the night...
as a shadow, of the day...
fleeting swiftly, plane to plane...
downing pilots, day by day...
ever driven, by thy spirit...
thoughts of victory, guide thy mind...
only freedom, chained and bound...
will set thy soul, the way it was...
living quietly, day by day...
ever free, is what they say...

As a call to the Republic's cry,

I launch my life into the sky.

Within deadly wind and soaring heights,

I keep the enemy in my sights.

Closer to the heavens to join the fight,

as I leave the ground and enter the night.

the Sun blinded me, but now I see:

sometimes it takes darkness to see the light.

This is the Midnight Creed of the NLR :P

As my engines roar into the sky, off of the carrier,I fire upon the most worthy of foes, an orange streak of light launches from my F-4 and slams into a MIG-21,he plummets as a big ball of flame into the Pacific, he said "idiot...." While I said "deal with it"

Hey guys I got one. I dont have a name for it though.
I stand there peering into the blue,
Soon I will be flying straight and true.
I start the engine and bid goodbye
And roll down the runway and take to the sky.
With honor and pride, I begin to fight,
Never quiting for what is right.
It last for about a minute or two,
Then with guns blazing, his plane is through.
The fight is over and I have won,
But the wars not over, it has just begun.
As more planes appear, I wont back down,
Ill fight with dignity and stand my ground.

I hope yall like it. Its not the best

Not a poem, really, but I wrote this for another thread and cracked myself up. So here it is..

Should you chute? If you do chute you should shoot the the one that made you chute and if you shoot someone and and they chute you you should shoot them in their chute and should they shoot you from their chute you should chute and shoot them in their chute from your chute. Shoot! Am I getting this right?

This was some sort of Shakespeare poem that has 10 silables in each line and certain lines have to rhyme together really hard but this was about my grandma who lasted away a few years ago

You've had a long and peaceful, happy life.
You've been cared for but also pushed aside.
You have been the nicest grandma, wife
That anyone could wish for. But docs lied
To you over and over, your getting
Better they were saying, just to see smiles.
Occasionally you would go betting.
Over your life you've travelled many miles.
Win or lose, people like little white lies.
You always dodged gods heavenly darts,
But this has been your last ride to the skies.
Forever shall thee be in our minds, hearts.

Didn't write this but credit to whoever did.

As may be seen on picture here,
In Rome the doctors do appear,
When to their patients they are called,
In places by the plague appalled,
Their hats and cloaks, of fashion new,
Are made of oilcloth, dark of hue,
Their caps with glasses are designed,
