Many times I just want to fly. Clouds and all. Zipping around the bridge stantions. (38 figure 8's) Hover practice...etc. Just relaxing.

Do you?

Heck yes I do Paul! I enjoy bush/STOL flying. Just the other day I spent like 20 minutes trying to land on each building at the base and let me tell you some of them are pretty difficult to hit just right. Hovering is a blast too.

Yea but my definition of fun is differing than urs, my fun is killing people. And flying for no reason is boring to me, but thats because i am impatient and hate to waste time.

FUN: Watching "MOM EGGS" wash my plane.

To hover...do search. It's a secret. It's worth the effort to hunt it down. Most won't, then YOU have an advantage.

You can land on the buildings? It gives me a crash message the second I touch one with the bottom of my plane.

Yeah, I like to climb mountains, hit the ceiling, drop my bomb and waste my bullets, just so I can see if I can get into the enemy base without fighting or going high, see if I can shoot planes with a tank (Not just for fun, it does serve a purpose, but I do it to see if I can, and only when my team can win anyway; only for laughs).
See you in the skies!

Yes Cal you can if you do it just right.

You have to approach as slow as possible, flying just on the edge of stalling.

Mondo198 wrote: Hi dogfighters,
I love flying just for the sake of it too, the only difference when I do actually fly is that I don't have a motor and I don't use any fuel, and apart from using your hands to turn you must move your bum :-) thats right you just move your hips to the right or the left and around you go and unless you move them back you will keep going around in a circle, thats my big red bird Sylvia behind me in my Avatar and I love her, she and I have been alongside wedgetailed eagles that suspiciously stare at her and sometimes pick at her wing edges, Its the most serene feeling I have ever had so high up with just a little wid noise to keep you company, but instead of travelling long distances and time setting Sylvia up Dogfight sitting in my armchair is
a great pastime too, cheers 111th KptnMondo

This is the type of post I was hoping this thread would attract. Stories of the LOVE of flight. I guess I'm just an optimist.
More stories, please?

As mondo198 has said that amazing story, I my self can not beat that but I can say that like wise to him just hearing the little wind, is an amazing feeling. I haven't been in the skies for quiet a while but I feel right at home when I play this game. I tell other players I'm not here to attack or anything and I just fly around and land and just have a great time, it may not be the real world but for me I can say it gives me the same thrill to want more of the skies and the freedom that lies awaiting our use and pleasure.
