CNN just reported that investigators/scientists have discovered a sticker on the back of the Mayan Clock.
Roughly translated it reads: "Made in China for Mayan Gift & Novelty, LLC"

Whew..we can relax now.

This could be really bad if solar storm hits us bad the Yellowstone Volcano could erupt and that would be reall bad that thing is powerfull and big could cover the whole US in ashes :ohmy:

It's pretty crazy considering it could happen at any moment. As of early 2011, solar cycle 24 was under way. Which means we're headed toward a peak of activity expected in 2013. Tons of sun activity coming soon. But once this part of the cycle is done, we'll see more inactivity. It's just how the sun cycles. :)

A solar wind/coronal mass of that scale can still happen at any time, no matter where the sun is at in the cycle.

We shouldn't worry regardless because quite honestly -- there's nothing we could do if it were emitted except enjoy whatever time we may have until the solar wind finally hits us from 93 million miles away.

I don't think we need worry about solar flares, we've had biggies before and we'll have them again and even a big big one would not affect volcanic activity here on earth. If Yellowstone is going to blow, she won't need any help from a solar flare, she's done it before, sometime I guess she's gonna do it again, in her own sweet time, but you should get ample warning of it, though bear in mind she's already huffing and puffing a bit several kilometres down!

I'm starting to get worried!

I read somewhere that the final sign of the apocalypse is many not being able to play Dogfight because of password problems !!!

If yellowstone does blow, my teacher says it could easily trigger the greenhouse effet due to all of the dust rising into the atmosphere. Plus all the crud we've already added to it :dry:
