Lots of recent discussion on no names, spawn killers, vulgar language so lets see where everyone stands. I've listed the most common complaints I've seen in-game and in the forum for you to rank. Only rank those items that really upset you...leave off anything you can live with. I'm sure I've missed something so please clue me in and I can edit this post.

You will notice that these items are all player controlled as this poll is about the DF community and not the developers. So, given the parameters of the game, what do you just hate to see when you get into the game.

In no particular order (I'll post separately with my ranked list):

• Spawn Killing (Plane)
• Spawn Killing (Tank)
• Soldier on a Carrier
• No Name Players
• Team Killing
• Vulgar or Threatening Chat
• Vulgar Player Names
• Parking Tank or Plane on Runway (Preventing Takeoffs)
• Using Tanks in Zep Mode (Just seeing if you are paying attention)

I do think I could have separated out some of the spawn killing by modes as there are different arguments that apply to a mode but not to others...but I didn't so treat these items as a whole.

Finally, I really have no intention of calculating the results...I already know how nutty some of the responses will be.

1. No Name Players
2. Team Killing
3. Vulgar or Threatening Chat
4. Vulgar Player Names
5. Spawn Killing (Tank)

Comments:

I think the No Name player is doing it as a cheat and this is a long-lasting cheat. Team Killing is also a cheat but only affects a single game at a time (and I can deal with these offenders personally). Vulgar chat and names just shows ignorance of the user. I'm old enough that this really doesn't bother me but I wouldn't want my kids to see/read it. The spawn killing element is difficult for me. I don't like it but I will do it in certain game modes to win. Tank spawn killing is just for points in my mind so I've added it to my list.

No real issues with the soldier on the carrier or the parked tank/plane (just haven't seen it that much).

1 - Team Killers;
2 - Team Killers;
3 - Team Killers;
4 - No names;
5 - Team Killers;
6 - Spawn Killers (except during the final stage of "Protect the Zep" missions, when you REALLY need to kill red birds on their nest);
7 - Team Killers;
8 - Desert Rose's bullets;
9 - Vulgar or threatening chat (I tend to ignore these poor souls, but as Zandor said, there are kids on the game)
10 - Vulgar player names (same above);
11 - My lack of skills;
12 - Team Killers.

Necessarily on that order.

1. Vulgar/threatening names/chat
2. INVISIBLE/UNKILLABLE soldiers on carriers (I think it adds a great element if you could see them and shoot them all of the time)

The rest, I can live with. Nothing else is unusually unfair. Even if you don't like it, you can do it too. For most of those things there is already a system in place to deal with it or when there something has tried it has failed (such as immunity)

Team killers!!!!

Team killers are easy to get rid of, just kill em few times and they will stop. Soldiers are just anoying. Thats why i dont became a soldier.

Ahmmm. I can live and enjoy all but the team killing. There just no excuse for it. Nothing at all can justify a team killer. Spawning has probably been forever. There's no rule that will lockout a player by doing so, I don't know if I would want one neither, but just too add its not something I practice unless-UNLESS I am clearing away a bomb run for a team member inbound and out.

1. Vulgar Player Names -- Grow up! Or get some professional help.
2. Vulgar or Threatening Chat -- Go somewhere else, we don't wanna hear it
3. No Name Players -- Simply cowards
4. Team Killing -- The ones that do it on purpose are like those people who walk up behind someone and knock over their books or flick their ear. Losers. They get repeat-killed by me until they leave the game.
5. Spawn Killing (Tank) -- Losers who can't fly. I try to time my next takeoff(s) (sometimes it takes two) and ALWAYS circle around and kill them. Put 'em back in a plane so they learn to fly.
6. Parking Tank or Plane on Runway (Preventing Takeoffs) -- You can kill these guys. Throttle up gently (if they are reloading) and push against them, like you are pushing up against a wall inside the carrier. If you do it right, you'll pick up a wing, and you can drop your bomb. Suicide bomber!

The thing That bothers me the most is the fact that someone threatened Sheibe kobf and his family...that has been on my mind alot lately....I'm sorry for bringing this up and I hope it get's straightened out....
That bother's me more than the spawnkilling, soldier on the carrier and team killing....

I read that in passing on MOM thread. I thought he was joking . That needs attention imediatley!!!!

Woah. bt my most unfav. Things r spawn killing tank, and no names. But the shei bekopf....thats serious...

No names and spawn killing tank and for other,,, somebodies loosing it to take a good that serious!

In no particular order;

1. Spawnkilling with a tank. This takes even less skill than using a plane, which I admit, does take some. Using a tank is cowardly, and just proves to me that you can't fly, and don't want to; so I simply return the favor.

2. Spawnkilling with a plane. It does take some skill, but excessive spawnkilling (any spawnkilling that doesn't cover your own bombing raid) is simply annoying, monotonous, and pointless.

3. Threats. I can handle idiots who cuss too much, I enjoy messing with them. They're almost always idiots my age who think you have to self-censor stuff that they spell wrong. People who make threats, on the other hand, are different. There's nothing funny about a threat unless you know the person it's coming from, and you know when they're being serious.

4. People who cuss too much and don't let me mess with them. That's when it's annoying. I can entertain everyone in the game and make the idiot quit when they play along, but not when they ignore it.

5. Teamkilling. Self defense, defense of a teammate, or shooting a spawnkiller or any other kind of general moron is different, I mean just shooting down a teammate because you can. I park my tank in front of these guys.

6. Teamkilling for revenge from a previous game. Picture this, okay? I shoot down "GuitarPick96", who is on the other team. I shoot him down a few more times. "ForkSauce42" bombs my last hanger, and I lose. New game. GuitarPick96 and I are on the same team. I take off. He takes off, and pumps a bunch of rounds into my tail, and says "That's for last game.". If it's an Aspirant, I'll explain that we were on seperate teams. I assume anyone else that does it to simply be stupid, if not for shooting me down, then for thinking I wouldn't return the favor, and that they could do anything about it.



7. Vulgar names. There's little kids here, do you really need to tell them what to do to themselves?

8. "Daddy's little girl". The people who can do no wrong, at least in their mind. That guy, Cody The Winner, who was
recently blacklisted, was teamkilling Wig. Three guesses what Wig did. Next game. "Wig's a teamkiller! The guy just started shooting me down!". Really? People like this suck. In real life, they suck. In Dogfight, they suck. There is no way to not want to hit daddy's little girl with a piano bench.

9. Walker on carrier. Maybe new guys don't know that they can't be seen, so it's just spawnkilling with limited ammo, but aces know that you can't see them. They do it anyway. Ridiculously stupid.

10. People who make long lists about what they hate, especially when the list is exactly nine points long.
