Reviving this older thread.....

Can soldiers shoot from the ground? Only been playing for a week or so and finally figured out how to switch to the shoot in the chute mode with the camera button. After I land, I no longer have a fire button, just 2 joysticks to control direction and walking.

I have been told in game chat that soldiers can only fire from the chute, but I swear I've been shot by walking soldiers. No chute to been seen.....

Can you walk and shoot? If so, how?

Fuck this place. Second rate hack playing in a yard that's too big for him.
