I started a thread like this one recently called explain that handle, I didn't know this one existed. Nothing exciting in the way I came up with my name. Most people in the game call me altitude....they apparently don't see the "D" in my name and call me altidude...lol. So yeah, I put the dude in altitude if that's how you want to look at it...lol

The first time I saw the screen shot of this game I think I was on youtube watching the dogfight video. The ALT for altitude or altimeter showed up and immediately the thought came to my mind of the altidude handle. I use to fly real airplanes when I was younger, I was 18 and flew skippers and cessnas when I thought I wanted to become an airline pilot. I had to face reality and became a home improvement contractor instead...lol. I love this game.

this was my father's nick name during ww2. i started out flying ww2 air combat games so took his nic as a tribute...

Its also a childhood nickname based on my last name. I found out about the pig-lung thing years later.

Some of the older guys know this already and maybe a few younger ones, a fan of Jimmy Buffett is a Parrot Head. You know, like Grateful Dead fans are Dead Heads?

If you do not know who either of them are..... Well I'm not sure what to say.... Go on the internet thingamajig and google your little butts off, or YouTube or iTunes or something for Pete's sake.

I played in an indoor cricket team called The Tools in my misspent youth and we all had tool nicknames, mine was hammer, but it's always taken an a name so I add _tool to make it unique.

Dr Dave is a nick name given me by friends many many years ago, my mother was a nurse
my sister in law is a doctor, I myself worked as a nurse going to school to maybe be a doctor.
till life got in the way. Now all my friends have passed and I use the nick name out of respect
for their memories and memories of my youth. besides the chicks dig it.
