Sorry Raptor. I guess it does seem like I've been after you. Actually, the only time I was specifically after you was in the btb where we were on opposite sides. You kept getting me and I just had to take the challenge. I was serious when I said that you were harder to hit than "?????". (a certian top 100 who always drops and has a kill to death ratio near 4/1 edit: 7/1)
I generally look for higher ranks and target them thinking that they are the biggest threat. If you are red you fit that that discription. I try not to mercilessly prey on lower ranks in any games including dogfights so if you're on the other team and one of 2 higher ranks I'm gonna focus on you.

Anyway, as for teams in dogfights I understand the AAA/AAM thing. As I've explained before; I just really can't do it. Once we start making a bunch of turns I can't see the names well enough to be able to tell in a split second if it's a red friend or foe. I can tell at a distance when it's holding still. Maybe if I was following on the wing of another Misfit and could keep track of where they are. I don't know. I keep hoping for a game lobby where you can choose sides. I've got no problem with red vs. blue. Actually the red barron plane often gets me. I'll hit the trigger when I see the flash of red before I notice the blue lettering.

Another thing that seems to have happened is that I've spawned into a DF where you already had something going on with other Misfits. I see DF and get shot at by someone who I can't identify until it shows up on chat. I go full fight mode and after a bit I see your comments about "well, see you later McFate" or something like that. I feel like a big old galoot on the beach who just kicked sand in everyones faces. If that happens please feel free to hive me a heads up. "Stand down" or "we're just chilling..." Let me know that you're just doing some circus, friendly flying or practicing tactics. I love that stuff!

BTW, Foust, I do love Zebra hunting! Not just your Zebra either. I'll give it a break if you want but I've got the impression that you're up for it. I think it's fair to hassel you MORAFs. Besides I usually get schooled.

Lol that Red Baron plane gets me loads too, I've had to type a fair few sorrys for that.

As for FFA I tend not to stay in them because I prefer the team aspect. However when I do I will always play AAM now I know what it means, ( sorry again Jack for that ). But I have absolutely no problem with you shooting me down, like Foust said I will soon get the message

I also go for the high rankers first, I get a real buzz taking Morafs and other high rankers down. I've often classed my approach as suicidal, but it gives me the most satisfaction. I haven't got the patience or nous to go high or wide, and I'm crap in the tank, so straight down the middle with my bomb ( it helps me aim ) works for me . Doesn't do my stats any good though

McFate...feel free to hunt my zebra anytime bro lol. I love to be challenged, the important thing is to just have fun...just remember my zebra kicks and bites, and has a smoke screen option also (I think its stuck in the on position)

Mr McFate, I was just ribbon on you man, I fully enjoy the our little get together in DC, really I do. I sometimes am amazed at how quickly your back shooting me down, "Where did McFate get the friggin F16 "??!! This is monumental!!!! It may seem a small thing to some, even so insignificant that most wouldn't even bother posting.
For me, this is quite a milestone, true it shows that I am truly a mediocre player at best, I'm good with that. I measure thing in life by continual improvement in what ever endeavors one is involved in.
DF has a system of advancement that is very player friendly and I believe it works as they designed it to. If you play enough you will rank up to top rank (Pluribus may be proof he hovers around #65), this may exclude MORAF, due to skill points factor.... Maybe, not totally sure but that's not the piont. I started playing this game last year in August. From day one my Deaths have out numbered my kills..... Until today!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had a a kill Death deficit of well over 1800 hundred at times. It has been my goal from the first time I saw my stats to turn that around. To prove myself worthy of my rank and to continual improve. This morning I have!!!
This personal challenge I put before me has been the carrot so to speak to hone my skills and ability in this game. Amazingly it accually has worked for me. Not just in stats but also by comments by fellow players. I realized this last night and this morning in two games.
I was hoping yesterday to over come the deficit but to no avial, although my last mission last night was a long battle that started with a full roster of players. By the time it ended it was me and wig! And a new guy jrkiller, who was on wig!s team. Wig and I were in an epic dogfight over my base where I was defending my last hanger. I couldn't honestly say how long this dogfight went only that it was long enough for my arms to go from a slight pain to a total numbness, wig! Mentioned his spine being uncomfortable. I ended up crashing due to the fact of the numbness! I text crap! What happened next was.... Well remarkable and very worthy. Wig! Text " Raptor let's call this a draw" only thing I could say was "OK" wig! Could have had me dead just a moment later at my take off. Instead to show respect he let me live! I new it that moment and was stuned and amazed. I said "Your flypaper" he said "your one of my favorites Rap, and its a short list." That's an honor to be mentioned like that from one of the Best players in dogfight.
During our truce I shot him down thinking he was back with a bomb already. He wasn't he was just heading back to his base!
I mentioned my arms but my head was a bit foggy from the fight too.... Sorry about that wig! I. Couldn't believe I just had done that...

Anyway, points stats whatever, its been a long haul to overcome my deaths to kills but I did it!finally, and I have improved because of it. So I wanted to share that with my Misfits. And encourage anyone that feels they may not be that great a player you can become a better one.

Ok so I've been evaluated by Foust and Fate. They had me do a series of tests with landing and flying under the bridge. Then they told me that if I killed fate ( it was a dogfight ) I could get my promotion. I finally did. So I am asking for permission to become a member.
