I gotta tell you guys a story kinda the same thing that happened to me at work this last spring. I work in the veterinary world that I think a lot of you know. Very unexpected things can happen when working with animals. This was a painful yet funny thing that happened.
So a dog I was trying to get an IV Catheter in to sedate for a procedure we needed to do went ape ballistic when I stuck him with the catheter. My coworker (god bless her) who was holding the dog let him shred my right hand in 3 different places.
I got flaps of my hand skin hanging and bleeding and my boss and the Veterinarian runs over and say ewwww, that's bad you better go to urgent care to get sutured up, but clean it first. So, he dumps some lidocaine on it and says you clean it. So, I did. In the mean time they are trying to get catheter in the dog. I'm leaving to go to urgent care and he see me leaving and says, IF I Bandage your hand so it stops bleeding, can you get this catheter in before you leave?
(You can't make this stuff up,)
I said if you get a competent person who can restrain that dog I will. He held the dog I got the catheter in and left. .my coworker, well she just laughed and so did I.
