I have been snooping about and just noticed that the New Lunar Republic has recently just turned 5 years old!! Wow!!!! It's great that there is active players even after all this time. I'm don't think anybody made an official announcement... so I am happy to do the honors.

Though most of you have probably not met me before, it still makes me very happy to have seen the NLR from the beginning. I'm in disbelief when I say it was just over 5 years ago that my sister and I started this squadron. Just a couple of kids having fun with a new video game they found! Now it is true that I have not been as totally active as Luna, though even now I see that her visits are a bit more apart. However, I think I can speak for both of us that we hold the friends and memories that we share with this game in a very special place in our hearts.

Our happy times here have been immortalized when we think back! It's hard to say, but Luna and I are no longer the kids we were when we joined DF. I recently turned 20 a couple weeks ago... Luna a few years older than me. We now understand why adults would tell us to enjoy our time as kids and have fun. And remembering Dogfight and the NLR... that was a part of us all the same!

This game and the forum, the community and friends, I see it as a small chronicle of my time growing up. Thank you all for carrying on the spirit of why we all came together, even in our absence. We humbly ask that you all continue to play on and have fun! Like all things in Dogfight, time flies... but there are still so much more memories to be made. For me to be a part of it, in the past and perhaps in the future, I am very very grateful to share that with everybody.

5 years... to me it seems like such a long time... can't imagine what things will be like when I'm 25. Will DF and NLR be around and I'll be celebrating the 10th anniversary? Hmm... who knows!

Here's to the 5th! Happy (belated) birthday, New Lunar Republic.

Glad to "see" you. Drop in now and then.

If you happen to peruse the forum and rankings you'll find that the NLR has accrued the most points of any DF squadron. Yep. Lol! You and Luna founded the Top ranked Squad. Still active, still good people.

I hope you and your sister are well and out of the way of all these crazy hurricanes. I hope Luna stays out of harm's way, (not in her job discription, Ikr?.) Enjoy 20. I did.

I argue that the German base is much better protected than the Allied base, resulting in people choosing German side too often. I have requested to balance things out.

Can anyone in NLR put any pressure on getting WW1 and WW2 games to be played seperately?

Volunteering to use ww1 or ww2 doesntwork.

I would think this game appears very foolish to newcomers with NO historical references.

If not fixed soon i shall quit ; its rediculous.

I agree with that. It is ridiculous that a biplane and a jet plane fight in the same field.
And I am also fed up with the system to choose the side.
I have very few opportunities to use German aircraft.
