How about all MOM, Eagles, Falcons, NLR and other squad members to choose a specific day to play using only the most basic planes? Just to give the rookies a chance to face you "aces" on a more fair condition...

I already do that. Not for them, but to stay fresh. If you can fight AND bomb with the earlier planes you'll do much better in a faster, more agile plane. The ones that drop their bombs all the time are only limiting their skills.
Just my personal opinion.

Can they fly, fight, AND bomb?....that is the question.

Junkie, this is Pedro's party and if he didn't know it he's the official chairman of Rookies Day. However, I would suggest that the rule be we only use the very basic plane for each side, German or Allied, as pictured below.

Note that there are over 200,000 players registered, and a relatively small slice frequents the forum. So there will be some fast planes in the air. Tell them what's up, but if they don't want to exit and choose the starter plane, that's their right.
As Paul said, it's good skill-honing to fly basic planes, and that's against any other plane. So the day shouldn't be ruined by folks who don't observe. Just shoot them first! Red only, of course!

Valid point Manfred. We shouldn't see a slew of blacklist reports because someone didn't participate.

To squad leaders and members... Please get the word out to your respective groups and encourage them to participate. Participation is completely voluntary, however. It might help to mention it ingame over the next couple of weeks as well. As Manny said only a small portion of us pay attention to the forum.

Here's another thought... How about a temp squadron? Everyone that's participating can join the "Rookies Day" squad for the day and fly the tag. That would at least make others wonder what the hell it is and try to participate. Thoughts?
