I completely agree with Kes. I studied all squads and went with the squad I felt I fit in more with from an attitude perspective. Falcon was my home, and I'm here for good. FFF!

Don't squad jump so much, because if you keep jumping then nobody is going to want you in theirs.

The late night games (well, late night in the UK) are really for the serious DFers. In the dogfight round last night I was the second most junior member at II Air Commodore and was duly shot into mulch whenever I got near anyone else. GMoney, this includes you. The message was just 'thanks Mondo!' - I hoped you would be able to see that much as for some reason I can see the first few words of a message on the message page but can't get into the message itself... but never mind, that was it really!

I don't know if I'm just coming up against some better people or if it's a problem with the update but I certainly seem to be easier to kill these days. I'm getting out-turned all the time, and I didn't used to - my aeroplane has the maximum manoeuvrability so I don't understand how I'm getting out-turned, but I am, so I'll have to find different ways of not getting shot down. I appreciate there are some people in the game who are very, very good, but I didn't think I was so bad as to get stubbed out like a rookie every time I try to go toe-to-toe with one of them!

Cundall, I learned earlier that the Apple devices, particularly the iPhone, are turning slower until the next update. I always play on the iPhone 4s and have noticed a difference in my ability to maneuver and turn. Although I've been killed a bit more lately, I think it is helping my tactical ability by adjusting.

Also, hit level 14 today...my goal is to catch you You've been too good though

Well done on the promotion - you're too kind. That makes a lot of sense, regarding the Apple update... I know the temporary loss of turning radius should be helping my ability to manoeuvre, but tbh all I can do is try to throw the plane around unpredictably until my opponent gets bored. I haven't really learned any new tactics, though Mondo was very helpful with some suggestions earlier - the 'jink more' notion was well learned, the one about the throttle will take more practice.

I did shoot down Calle earlier but that was a total fluke - I had already been shot down about eight times by that pilot and it was at fairly long range, I suspect lag may have been to blame for Calle's fate! I do hope that update arrives soon, and I also hope the forum gets fixed too - there are some changes I need to make to my forum name

Cundall, are you full Falcon or still a recruit? I thought I saw something that indicated you made it...I could be mistaken.

Also, would love to hear Mondo's tactical suggestions. I think there's more information on the Falcon site, but I can't access it since I'm a recruit and don't have the ability to access a lot of the pages.

Guys, I just played a game with two others. One name was Volkswagen and the other was bad ray. Bad ray was on my team. Volks said that he hated me, I asked why. So if you ever see Volkswagen(aspirant) could u shoot him for me? Also I told bad ray that if he landed on the carrier, I would shoot him, because I wanted revenge. Can I get reported and/or banned for this?

Hey banana, nice flying with you for the first time. Good luck on your full 111th. I wouldn't let Aspirant's get under your skin. I have found that many of them are immature and don't understand the rules of the game or civility. I also wouldn't worry about getting reported...I would take revenge without telling them.

On another note, I have run into Kingdragon a few times over the last several days and he has shot me on the runway every time. I have called him out, but he never replies. I'll go after VW if you get Kingdragon for me

Just because someone says they hate you in-game doesn't mean you have to seek revenge. I have people say stuff to me all the time and I just ignore them. They're probably just some young punk looking to get a rise out of you.

Not sure what your beef with Bad Ray was though... doesn't sound like he was involved. And you should never... I repeat... never kill someone on your team just because they said something to you that may have offended you. Just ignore them and use that anger to shoot red!

I've had a similar experience. Last night when you called him on it, he just replied that you were airborne, which is a response I've had before too. I know the issue of spawnkilling is controversial, and there are a lot of different views on it, but I take the view that shooting someone down when they have a foot of air beneath their wheels is no different to shooting them when they are on the deck. You can't manoeuvre, and you can't even get rid of your bomb should you wish to. It was also pointless because that team had just received a massive boost of ace-quality reinforcements including Calle and, if I recall correctly, RedDragon. If they didn't want a fair fight, they should have said so. TBH Skywalker, if you hadn't turned up I would have bailed on the game because I couldn't even get off the runway. (And this was after I had destroyed all but one of the red team's hangars. I won't say singlehandedly because the rest of the team had been keeping the reds busy, but I had a lot invested in the game!)
