There must have been some kind of time limit for keeping your account all the same. When I transferred to elite everything remained intact.

TreeHell is still in HGA, and flew today. The "{WP}" is missing from his name though. It must have happened in the transfer to Elite. All he needs to do is edit it back into his name.

I just lost the {WP} after my name I started at wing commander 10 so I think thats where I'm supposed to be if I was a III Bridge General (level 16 or something) and I was still in the squad.

At least you didn't have to start all over. I think some folks did, but no wolves that I know of.

Unfortunately the longer people wait to switch, the more likely there Data will be lost. Zup has repeatedly said that he will not even look at DF1 anymore. I am sure special cases he has and will help out, but eventually all old Data might be lost and pilots will have to start a new.

Ya when DF1 finally fails and cannot load any and all platforms there will be a massive shift of pilots trying to move over to Elite and trying to retain accounts and such. I bet there is many part time players that never visit forum or follow the game and its move from df1 to Elite. I guess ultimately there will be some upset players. But I will try and help any one that missed the boat so to speak

I have been reading posts from the early days of the Wolf Pack and have come to the conclusion that we are so very lucky to have Viper as our Alpha. From his early days to present he has always been active and a pinnacle force in DF.
His skills as a pilot, a leader, a problem solver and a ambassador are unmatched. We are truly lucky to have this Wolf guiding and participating in all things Wolf. Digger made a wise choice with you my friend. I salute.

Just joking dang auto spell. If I should happen to lose all my data it really doesn't matter. It's kind of fun starting over. When reds start getting shot out of the sky left and right and you play a fair honorable game that is what's important. Remember that black devil bubi . He had an excellent KDR but everyone knew he was a real piece of chit because of the way he played. Playing this game fair and trying to help others is what's important. KDR ,rank , are meaningless. I have been around since the beginning of DF1 and have seen many come and go and respect comes from the way a pilot plays this game and helps others enjoy this game and forum. Someday DF1 will end but I will ride it out to the end then switch over to elite. When I do switch over I will take my butt kicking loss of data and rank but I will never complain but more importantly I will play like any other wolf . fair and honorable.

Okay gang, I have some news.

Our founder and Commanding Officer, Digger, has promoted me to Commanding Officer of our squadron. Digger advised me via email that he has stepped aside as CO, mostly due to his recent inactivity. Digger stated he doesn't care for elite and doesn't find it fun to play, which is completely understandable.

Digger has created a great squadron based on solid principles, namely respect, fairness, and teamwork. In just over 2 years his vision and hard work has created one of the premier squadrons in the game. Speaking for myself, I can certainly understand that Digger is far too busy to invest time in something that doesn't amount to fun, and do not blame him for the decision to pass the baton to me.

We owe Digger our gratitude for creating this squad which we are fortunate to be a part of. His determination and effort has not only put us on the map, but forged what we are today.

I would like to personally thank Digger for his friendship and support along the way. Thanks to the squadron Digger created, dog fight has transformed from a video game to something much more, at least in my case.

Digger brought us to this point, which is nothing short of a successful and respected squadron. More importantly, I want to thank Digger for his friendship. He has been a role model and inspiration for me during my tenure in the squad.

I humbly accept Diggers promotion, and assume the title of Commanding Officer, Wolf Pack Squadron. I know I have some big shoes to fill and will do my best to move us forward with the same deadliness and class we are known for.

I salute you, Sir Digger, and wish you the traditional fair winds and following seas, my brother.

Now on to business:

DF1 is to remain as is in regards to our squad. Those who still play df1 can do so for as long as it is up and running in Wolf Pack Squadron. All squad officers will retain their current rank and status. Just fly and have fun.

Elite will see some changes. First off, Skeeter will be organizing and implementing a transfer of all active pilots in HGA to HGB. Digger will remain in HGA as the MORAF. If and when he returns, he will resume his spot at the head of HGA, and will have an avenue to do so. Everyone else will transfer into HGB. All rank and positions will remain intact, just in the reorganized squad. Skeeter will retain the title of OIC, HGA. In the future when we expand the job of MORAF and running the new wing will be his if he wants it.

Wolf Pack guidelines and code will remain unchanged. Our collective conduct and game play have earned us a solid reputation which I have no intention of sacrificing.

We are returning to the Wolf Pack idiom: "The strength of the wolf is the pack, and the strength of the pack is the wolf" All active wolves will be gathered in one den so to speak, and that will be HGB, or WOLF.PACK. I plan to retain the name "Hunting Group Bravo" to honor our history, and all the brother and sister wolves which we were lucky enough to count among our ranks as we grew to where we are today.

The consolidation should serve to increase activity in squad chat, and improve cohesiveness within our squad. No more will we be unable to chat with one another due to squad chat restraints.

For those recruiting, remember to instruct any and all new prospects to the proper squad: WOLF.PACK. Otherwise acceptance will be slow and ineffective.

HGA folks, Skeeter will be your point of contact for moving from HGA to HGB. HGB officers, be sure to accept all our HGA folks and if you are unable to promote them properly just bring it to my attention and ill get them back where they belong.
