Thats a real bummer. They should provide loner PC"s . I will do my best. Just finally got my computer sort of back to normal myself and have not really played in couple weeks. I Think one of the biggest problems with Windows 10 and playing DF is Cortana app running in the back ground. Its a CPU pig and you cannot just end it in Task manager or easily delete. But I finally disabled it and my system seems to run much smoother and cooler. Fan is not revving at full blast anymore. Paws crossed

When I finally make the jump to Windows 10 I will definitely need to pick your brain about stuff like this right here. Did you upgrade your machine or purchase a Win10 machine? In the past that kind of stuff has made a difference with the MS products. Since my cpu had its issues I may consider moving it into a back up role, moving this one to my main computer, and purchasing a machine designed around the Win10 O/S which I can build at my pace.

It was actually designed for wind 8. 8.1 came out soon after and my PC had problems with it as well. I actually had a update that was curupt and it pretty much torched my system. Microsoft online techs took control of my computer for 48 hours. It took them that long to fix my computer. After that it ran like a dream. Then Windows 10 came. I upgraded because it was free. For the most part Viper it has been problem after problem. Is this due to the initial corrupt Windows update? Ill never know. My HP Pavillion is a solid computer and should be able to handle DF. But I seem to be constantly tweaking things. For awhile I used a Windows PC optimizer app that I purchased. It work well for awhile. Then it seemed to interfere with my Wifi connectivity. I wish I understood which process in Task manager are necessary and which are background noise. I heard some time this summer Windows 10 update will no longer be free if you are updating older windows like 8.1. I would suggest going into a computer store that has young avid gamers. Explain the game us old farts play, or show them on your old system. Tell them what you want to spend and what else you use the PC for. Work ETC. They will point you to the best system for the buck you want to spend. Then leave and ask Blue Fighter if you got the correct info. He seems to have a good grasp on this stuff. And I will be happy to share any knowledge, limited that it is to you

I used to be a White water Raft Guide in Whistler BC and surrounding areas. If you get a chance to do some rafting on your travels I would love to hear about it. I knew it was up and running still. Lots of folks are still there. I know the wc and sc are not available, but in game chat is up as well.

yes im playing df1 still as kurupt elite for me is too annoying one time my aim is perfect next game the bullet drop seems to go over or under its inconsistent ill play df1 till it stops

Yes sir Cypher I've been playing for a few weeks because my elite was having problems now it says I have to repay but wont download again. I have screenshots of lots and lots on my two accounts I actually have played dog (as kurupt) a few times.

Just played a WWII game with Eagle and Dunc. Timer is now at 80 min and was a decent chunk of time to win a BTB game. The game seemed pretty stable and hope more folks will join!

CC and I, among others, were 4 minutes into a game at circa 5:30am when all of us suddenly got booted. When we rejoined, you can imagine our collective shock when we saw the timer reading 80 minutes! We went on to have a DRAW, believe it or not, !

Greatings all just had a totally awesome day....covered 6 1/2 miles underground. Baby crawling, belly crawling, wall walking over a crevice that the headlamp could not show a bottom, spider crawled vertical shafts, waded through waste deep water. At one spot the vertical clearness from floor to ceiling was 9 inches. The "WILD" tour at Mammoth Cave, Kentucky truly the best $55 experience I have ever had. The adrenaline rush beats ANY amusement park and ranks second behind actually being shot at by bad guys!!!!!

And Cypher....I got an old rum runner up in Maine who has assured me he knows away that I can cross the border without a passpor, so you never know....

I would love to play strictly Elite but I seem to have the dreaded screen freeze up again. I wish I new how to fix it and make it stable. Also it really makes my computer run super hot , fan going red line. I think its time to take my computer to a professional and get it looked at.
