Sorry I left games suddenly, but this new Nexus7 will not keep the wifi connection.. I have numerous "lost connection" now. My iPad never had this problem.. Is lost connection a wifi problem or the server? Is this an Android problem? I don't want to go back to the iPad. The Nexus has help my non existing Skilzzz...

I also have an error message that Wig also gets. Can not make out what it says..

Paul, I couldn't agree more about promoting from within, or about Sput's being deserving of a promotion. Where the notion runs afoul of the facts is as follows: the only difference between a M.O.M Prodigy and a non-Prodigy M.O.M is age. It isn't a question of rank, superiority, full vs. partial or limited membership. The Prodigies are and always have been every bit as M.O.M as the rest of us. In order to reconcile the "Old" in "Mean Old Men" with also having underage members we created the Prodigy squad. But it isn't like a AAA ball club, our Prodigies are by no means "minor league" waiting to get bumped up to "the show". If we were to make Sput the 100th M.O.M, a) it wouldn't make sense since he's already a full fledged member, b) It would be a demotion, not a promotion, since he now heads the underage branch but would be just another knucklehead if we stripped him of his Prodigy officer's stripes, and c) I have no idea what c) is. CAKE, I guess. That (p) for Prodigy means you're good enough to be asked to join despite your young...youth. It's like a gold star, a badge of accomplishment because you got in on the strength of your skills while the rest of us only got in because we're old.

Think of The 100th M.O.M as something like the 1-millionth customer at White Castle. They might make a fuss over you, you might get some free onion chips, but they're really just celebrating the fact that they've survived in business that long and suckered that many people through the door. Tex, Korea Air Force was much discussed as a potential recruit way back in the misty dawn of page thirty-something. The general consensus back then was: great but unreliable player who leaves games too much.

Soos, Kero Zen and Bunny Bunny are all awesome. I would add Austin Powers to that list. If any of them ain't already MOMs, they should be.

Maybe we should turn the hundredth recruit thing into a group recruit, LOL.

To expand on my initial nomination, here are my top 7 reasons why Pluribus should be in the squad: (1) he's in the top 100; (2) look at those friggin' bombing stats !! ; (3) funny as hell; (4) a natural born contrarian (this will often confuse the enemy); (5) motivational speaker -- if he's on my team and he starts in on his "we're doomed!" schtick, it motivates me to prove him wrong and demotivates the enemy into thinking it will be an easy win (which, granted, sometimes it is:)); (6) realist philosopher and prophet of doom (every squad needs one!) ; (7) dogfight's very own Eeyore (and what's the Hundred Acre Wood without Eeyore, AMIRITE?)

The 100th member:

Basically have an Ad with certain specifications and MOM criteria listed for the 100th member. A Help Wanted Ad.

Post it on New Categories and spread the word to everyone who we think would qualify. Have a deadline, but that could be any date we decide.

Wig could make a great "100th Member of MOM Banner" and there is always the Carpet Squares as well. White Castle would have nothing compared to this.

Rather than we go to them, let them come to us. They have to uphold to the MOM criteria/non-criteria.

There are players out there who would like to be a MOM and maybe if we advertise the position, we could get a top 100 player who's interested.

What do you all think? I know you or your wives could expand this idea into something workable. Rather than a Wish List of possible players.

What say MOMbership?? Fly/No-Fly ??
