Looks like something is seriously broken with the Android update pushed today. I don't get anything but a black screen after the Dogfight splash screen on startup. Uninstall/reinstall does not fix it.

Suggestions?

Try turning your device off and re-booting it. Hope this sorts out you problem.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that didn't work.

When game starts, it'll display the initial splash screen with the planes, but the Echoboom screen does not follow it. Instead, it just goes black. And stays that way.

ANDROID PLAYERS: WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU NOT LOAD THIS UPDATE UNTIL ZUPERMAN FIXES THE PROBLEM!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Email Zup and tell him about the problem. He will need to know what device you are playing on, what your current operating system is and also how much memory you have available on your device.

To see what operating system you are running, go into the settings and scroll down to the 'About device' section which is usually at the very bottom of the system menu.

To see how much memory you have available, go to settings and scroll down to the 'Storage' section.

It could be you need to update your operating system if you are running on an old version. This option is in the 'About device' section of your settings menu.

I just upgraded on my HTC one phone, game loads no problem, and world chat works. I can't play on 4g so I can't verify that until I get off the train and onto WiFi.

I'm using lollipop 5.0.1
I haven't tried the new update for dogfight released today.
But it was loading fine yesterday just had a few niggles within the game.
Screenshots on lollipop are terrible.

Hey, J4ff, you may want to hold off on that update until it becomes clear what's going on. Although I imagine if you save off the existing .apk file, you can always revert if necessary.

Updated df on my phone,only runs jellybean,to see where the subscriptions were,how much,if theres an option for monthly or annually etc
Couldn't find anything.it just started up as normal apart from a green loading bar on the splash screen at load up.

Dunno if rooting enables saving apk files.mine is stock no root so I haven't saved it.

yes I didn't see the subscription option either, but it may just have the code in there and Zup will enable it once the iStore has it too (rather than tax the Droid users only)

Well I'm out until he fixes the latest update.
I had no option but to update df on my nexus 7 2 lollipop 5.0.1 or no play.All I get is a black screen after splash screen.
At least it was kinda playable before today's update.So it was working Android 5.

Installed the update, went on world chat, worked fine. On Android. I haven't bothered with a game today, but I just got a noti for another update. What's this nonsense about "paid subscription" anyway? Did that idiot Zuperman have the gall to charge us with his retarded product? About time...

Read this article. I thought I will share it here. We enjoyed this game for 3 years without paying,at least the majority of us.

This statement won't be applicable to dogfight anymore after the .47 update. Completely fixing the lag issues is impossible. But he has the responsibility to fix the glitches as early as possible.

This is a good point of view. We will no longer be just players but also customers. As customers if the product is no good we can express our displeasure by terminating service.

Well I paid for it twice in the past.only because I didn't know I could use my account on multiple devices :)

I don't mind paying but kinda impossible when the game won't even load with this update.
Think I'll just hold off until other platforms are updated instead of piggy backing them again.

Except that I AM a customer. I payed for this game: twice. I've gotten $50+ in in-game currency. I donated, I supported, I.did everything Jokeuin asked. And yet the product has gotten steadily worse with time. All in all, besides new planes and a couple assorted extra features that don't work anyway, this game has not improved in the ten and a half months I've played.

Zup has talked out of both sides of his mouth in no fewer than half a dozen circumstances. I have no reason to trust him for now.

This game is not currently worth two bucks a month, and you're a fool if you think it will be anytime soon.

Ok.heres one.for.the android users down.load.the game.on 3 or.4 g only it os.a huge app and will.take a.while.so dont stress never use wifi if you use android

Mac, I've purchased over 200 bucks if not more over the past 2 years not including a second account, here is where we have to put aside ALL our differences and band together! NO MATTER WHAT SQUAD!! you realize "zup" is also a person right? it seems you keep forgetting there is a human behind this "zup". I'm amazed at the rudeness of the comments.
Yes, you have a right to demand things you pay for: you bought points, you get points, and so on.

But there is something you can't demand: free work.

If there is not enough income, people can't work to make updates, maintain servers and keep things working. So the options are to either begin charging for the servers (which btw, 99% of the online games do), or keep a horrible system with no updates or just shut down the whole game.

If nobody pays, that's up to the consumer, but the answer it's obvious. The game shuts down. There is not much to demand on that. We can't do miracles.
