For me problems started today. I was logged out and email no more recognised. Therefore account failure and no hope resetting password. Please help me back I dont want to loose my hard earned rank. Thanks

I didn't know that. I just stumbled upon a good deal and got the prepaid version of Dogfight for $2.00.

Well I had memory problems (with my iPhone) so my month got wasted DX.

You all are probably just going to have to stay patient. The developers might just be running some maintenance with the servers or something. It shouldn't last more than a day.

Sounds like a database got dropped, prompting all of the connection issues we saw.

Now, I am able to connect, and others are too, which indicates that connection with the database was reestablished.

If the database was dropped, and data lost, admins would have to use back ups in order to replace the lost data.

The use of backs up after an inadvertent dropped DB would cause both 1) The initial connection issues and 2) some experience / level discrepancies, especially amongst the lower ranks.

rocky125, when did you first register a Dogfight account? What level were you before the connection issues?

ALSO - Can we get a definite YES or NO with regard to being able to connect? I am currently able, and there are many other people in game.

If the backups used to restore the DB pre-date the day users currently having this trouble registered, then you would need to re-register an account, as the game data has essentially gone back in time.

please note this is all just nerdy speculation

Your forum account is stored in a different database than your in game account. They are 2 totally separate networks.

when did you first register a Dogfight account? Have you tried re registering?
