Dear Moderators,

I have been playing this game for several months with a hiatus in between and have never been on the forum before. However, this ticked me off so much that I took the necessary steps to create both photobucket and forum accounts.

I was in a CTC game and shot down ( Dem Air Force + ) a member of the reputable M.O.M squad. He tanked to base and immediately and SK. When I asked him, he readily admitted. Listen, I'm not all that concerned when I get SK'ed by a plane -- atleast I have a chance at taking off with a little trickery. Being SK'ed by a tank totally ruins the game.

I kindly ask you take the necessary measures for a ban as this is not setting a good example by a high rank, nor of a squad whom I have not had troubles with before.

1, tank sat at the back of the runway.
2, accidentally hit while aiming for a hanger - 3 times in a row ?? Really
3, it stops anyone taking off. If you spawn you get tanked, if you stay dead, your team mates crash or get tanked
4, if it is acceptable, then why the questions throughout this thread about whether the "brake immunity" is working

The fact is it is a game spoiler tactic that gives cheap kills.
If it's allowed, I'll wind my neck in and ramp up my kill count.

What I wrote in the statement above wasn't pointed at you or your complaint, just my point of view on tanks at the runway.

If a tank hitts you ones it may be an accident, twice, not likely, three times, no way in h... its an accident.

Aloha mods. Has anyone reported me for TKing? I promise i didnt do it. I was returning to base in a tank when someone accused me of tking them. It was an enemy tank that shot them from the hill. I just dont want yall thinkin im a bad player.

Nitro, did Dem Air Force tank spawnkill you (or anyone) more than that one time?
Also, did brakes help? I'm trying to get feedback to Zup about brakes immunity against tank shells, in varying game modes.

Thank you for the quick reply. I got blasted before my plane even spawned fully--I would have certainly tried the brakes had I seen him and had enough reaction time. With respect to the number of times, I didn't wait around to get SK'ed again, I left after the first one since by his admission, he said he was Tank Spawn Killing.

I don't like complaining, it's not in my nature. This kind of thing just gets on my nerves as this is a great game and we're all just in it to kill some time. I only get to play on a limited basis so the time I spent playing is valuable to me. Being SK'ed by tank after spending 30 minutes of gaming ruins the whole experience.

Sorry for the long post, if one Tank SK'ing is not enough for a ban, I understand. I probably over reacted anyway. Just a game after all.

Im going to be really disappointed if dem isnt treated jus like anyone else !! Actually harsher ! He damn well knows better ! Instant short ban. What are you gonna do tell him thats not ok?? He knows is as well as anyone

I don't think you are over-reacting. But for purposes of bannability, we've been putting temp bans on serial tank spawnkillers only, since single kills could be claimed as accidents. Although that's highly doubtful in a CTC game, which I think was your point. Still, I can hear it now, something like WTF It's Strategic To Keep Planes Down While My Teammates Capture Carriers Waaaaahh!!!

Basically, once is not enough to show that he was ruining a game for someone (getting jollies and kills at someone else's unfair expense). More shows habitual game-ruining. If we hear more about him, then we can act on it.

And for those that argue that tank spawnkilling is allowed because the game permits it, note that Zup is concerned enough about it that he is coding changes to prevent it -- just not 100% there yet.

Of what I can see it wasnt dem who killed you but some 116flyer.
I wasnt in that game so I dont know what happend.
I dont know if dem answered you or some earlier question and if you where tankspwankilled by him before that photo or not.

I took the photo about 3-4 seconds after being SK'ed by Dem Air Force. I'm not sure why it doesn't show. My plane was shot down by 116flyer but I was tanked by Dem. Believe me, I would not spend this much time on creating accounts and posting. Thank you for all your concerns. Just wanted to vent more than anything

Edit: You can see Dem Air Force's tank clearly.

Manfred, may I suggest that readers of this thread take this as a 'be on the look out' for future similar, and bannable, behavior by dem. If this is an itch he's gotta scratch, rest assured it won't be the last time...

Yep.
bellsaj brings up a good point. Nitro, not saying that you didn't see what you saw. I've certainly killed a plane "twice" when another player and I both shot into him close to the same time, so anything's possible with the game. All the more reason to have some patience, let the perps have their fun so we can document the habits, and shoot lots of screenshots.

Manfred, In regards to your inquiry on tank kill versus plane. The updates that were done on this make it so that a tank can no longer be counted as a kill and it will be a crash on the plane. So if a tank shoots a plane it will be a crash for the plane and not a kill for the tank.

So you can see from the screenshot that Nitro posted it shows a crash and not a kill so the update in place has done its job.

I can not comment on the situation that developed between Nitro and Dem Air Force since I was not in that game and Manfred is more than capable to decide what is needed. I thank you for your service Manfred.

Manfred, FYI... I relunctantly updated expecting the worse, but had no ill effects. I did however survive a tank shot with the brakes on yesterday. The day before that, I did not. It is working at least sometimes.

Snow, this case is being treated the same as any other. Proof of multiple TSK attacks certainly merits a temp ban and I fully support it. In this case, it is seemingly isolated. As with similar reports in the past a show of a pattern has been requested, but not yet provided. I say all of this due to previous accusations of preferential treatment for certain players and/or squads. Manfred is handling this with the same prudence he does with all reports.

There has also been an inquiry made within the M.O.M squad.

The pictures need to be supported by some narration, otherwise the player can say that no actual kills were documented explicitly (they weren't). For example, we see Dace killed by Petrovich3 in the screen text, but if you saw him tank-spawnkilled or the sequence of events led to that indisputable assumption by you at the time, we need to hear that directly from you. Were you also tank spawnkilled? If so, say that.

I was spawnkilled by petrovich3 at the first second i joined game. I wanna take pictures of doing that, so i flyed to the base. In that moment he killed Dace, i took theese 4 pictures while flying on ipad. After that petrovich leaved game....

I really don care too much, if u bann him or not, but this is really annoying.

I think we need another solution for this becose everyday new dogfight pilosts joing and day after day is the same story.

Just my thoughts ... nothing more, nothing less.

I understand your frustration. The current brakes-on immunity is slowly getting out to everyone as they upgrade, but even then, it is not 100% helpful with tank spawnkillers.
Petrovich3 is banned for 2 days, for repeated tank spawnkilling.

epic duck is banned indefinitely. He can come on the forum to apologize for bombing his own team's hangars. Not only did he not stop when asked, he was belligerent to other players. Which isn't a bannable offense, but dude, it really doesn't make your case when you come on here and ask Why Was I Banned Waaahhh!

Been awhile since I stuck one here. epic duck=friendly hanger bombing and bad mouthing. These are two separate games. The on the ground shot is him tanking his own hangers. Set a 5 min time out on this one. epic d**k. Had other games that he has done it in to. Figured he may clean it up. Guess not.

Do you realize that you were ruining the game for everyone? Why would you do that?
