There seems to be a conspicuous lack of freezing since this new update came out.
Is this everyone's experience?

I hope it is. I spent the past two weeks working mainly to fix that on all WWI games. I'm working this week on WWII games but waiting to see if what I did on WWI worked across the board.

I've just been playing WW! games recently, so can't compare the two.
Can anyone else confirm or deny?
(Or does Zup have to just assume its fixed because you've stopped complaining.)

I haven't seen a full game yet in WW2. The only time I see masive lag/freezing on WW1 has be in full or nearly full games. I think I have a screenshot somwhere of a game that has 11 players, it was uber twitchy.

Maybe I spoke to soon.
Mostly its been good, but a few hours ago I played a game where it stuttered and stalled. Stall didn't last as long though, which is a positive.
For me when it stalls it always seems to be plenty of players and action and then cloud gets in the way.
Maybe Zup could give us a few cloudless days to see if that's what's making the difference.

That was around 2 weeks ago I think. I haven't had time to play much since the latest update.

well to be honest most people including me haven't updated yet because i cant subscribe (zup says its google and google says its echoboom) so maybe people who haven't updated are causing the problem ? i know a few people who have updated cant play no more i flew a game earlier i didnt see bullets from enemy plane just the peppering of my windscreen real odd how you supposed to dodge bullets if you dont see the other plane is firing till its too late?

Every post i make shows up on forum then after a shot time dissapears! Are they being removed?

Calibrating stops at 4, trees are gone again, plane flys like sensitivity is way down

In a word, NO! Was just in a bomb base game, approaching south base in a tank, got one shot in range and everything froze. Ipad 2, latest iOS, strong wifi.
And most recent version of DFE.
Getting tired of the broken toys.

Sorry Zup, the answer is no from me also.
Just played a game with freeze issues.
They start with short ones, then get worse. I gave up.
(Again it was near the northern base, multiple planes shooting and some behind clouds.)

So i'm arriving to the conclusion that it seems to be the northen hangars the one provoking the freezing... no idea why but from my stats 99% of the times it happens players are near the north base

ok I have a feeling not everyone has the last version because the reports here matches things that were fixed on the last update, so to make sure we are all on the same page I've just made it a mandatory update.

That means you are not in multiplayer. Did you try reinstall? -and btw that's a different issue unrelated to the topic so please contact me by email or different thread

I have the last version to my droid phone...and i cant play at all. its like im connected to the practice field im always on my self even if it shows other participaters at the game start...but when i check who more are playing on the board .. upper right corner a box occures and as if i want to exit to menu...yes or no...

That is exactly what happens to me if I forget to connect the VPN before trying to play.

Doggy and Jacob can you guys try without the vpn now to see whether you can play multiplayer? I talked to google trying to figure out the ATT blocking issue and they said they think they could fix it.

Just played a few games, no serious freezing issues,but lots of other weird issues cropping up.
eg. sometimes when I clicked the menu icon it presented the "return to menu?" option, choose yes and your out of the game.
eg. Location of some players in the radar seemed to go off map.

Minor bug: First time you type an in game message the que message existing is left in front of what you type instead of being replaced by it.

Gannet, is that Android or Apple? Because I just released 1.0.32 on Android and it should fix that

Just updated and now I can play without VPN!!!

Windows 10 Tablet.

Just played a few games tonight most were fine, all the weird problems gone, but last one ended up with freezing.
Bomb the base, at the south base, half a dozen planes shooting, but no clouds near.
Freezing always seems to happen when plenty of bullets flying, well on into the game, never at the beginning for me.

Was forced to do an update yesterday and the game froze up and never stopped i had to force close the app to leave the game. As you can see by the picture the screen was sideways
