zup im posting this as you started a topic and there is no reply option ?
i received pms from a few different players making threats towards me some from well respected squads. although the threats are laughable and from trouble causers who just come here to stir up hate.some people are more sensitive can you please clarify to players who feel they are being targeted or victimized what they should do about these viscous pms ?

It's amazing that so many here are just fine with trashing others in the forum or on chat, then claim to be all about honor and integrity. There are many psychological aspects to group affiliation one of which is the "us vs. them" mentality. It makes it so some people think competitively in social interactions, not just in the game.

How does it become unacceptable to try to gain tactical advantage in-game (sneaking, dropping, etc) but acceptable to trash someone with words... Often with the explicit intention to drive them crazy or to drive them from the game?

If it's a troll whom is baiting to upset you, don't take the bait. Trolls are trolls because they like to provoke a negative reaction.

If someone is upsetting you because you just don't like them or because they don't agree with you, suck it up. They have the same rights you have.

My guess is that the person who threw this stone lives in a glass house. Don't get played, Zup! Most of these Forum flare ups have two or more willing participants. You cannot win by getting into the middle of it. I deal with this all of the time. A guy picks a fight, gets whipped, then wants to claim he was assaulted. I got no problems telling him that you should not have picked the fight. Sorry, I can't help you.

I am saddened to hear that this stuff is taking place in my beloved game. When it happened to me I was unable to screen shot ,ireported in game but nothing ,just because I'm ill does not mean I deserve to be told I should have died . Even if afterwards player says was a joke , u see it in all online games , its the same as trolling facebook , some players not happy unless having a dig

I admit that afterwards I cussed in game and reported my cooments to squad leader ,just incase I was reported ,
But online bulling is riffe everywhere

it is rife yes and if you let your self be bullied it will happen reach out to friends tell them your problems and who is doing it and the strength of the many shall over power the spineless keyboard commandos

A suggestion. Maybe establish a block player option in messaging. If your receiving unwanted mail from a individual you can block them from messaging you or viewing your profile. This message is for Zup. These options are on FB and other social networking platforms. Maybe it is needed here. Just a thought.

That's a really good idea and could work .

I love this game , and I'm addicted , just a few small areas need attention

I have only had a few "nasty" PM's. I told them where they could stick "it". Let them know I fight my battles on the field. Most of them shut their pie holes. They don't want to see me angry...

I was harassed a while back, I did exactly what gunnerzz said, soon as I saw who they were from, I just deleted without opening and reading them.

Being one who was bullied as a kid, where a fist in the face on the school playground hurt me a lot more than a mean text message, I have a real hard time relating to cyber bullying. I know there's lots of cases where it happens but I just have a hard time figuring out how it happens. Sorry, I'm just dumb that way.

I do know this...I had a big mouth and a bad temper as a kid and both got me into a lot of trouble...so I learned over time 2 things: Keep your temper in check and don't say stupid shit to people. Ok, 3 things...add a kick to the nuts to bring em down quicker...this comes into play when you've done nothing to deserve the attention a bully likes to give. Over time, once it was determined I wasn't an easy target AND I changed my ways a bit, life smoothed out for adolescent Comet. I've never been bothered since.

I guess to make a short story long, I have figured out that if I keep my nose out of people's business, I tend to get left alone...also, I don't necessarily react to everyone else's shit either...works for me anyways.

Funny how my kids were never bullied... I guess they followed their boring father's advice.

I have to laugh when I see people arguing on a forum. My answer is always "If I see you in a game and you are red, I will shoot you". What else can you really do? It is not like someone is going to drive halfway around the world to meet me at the playground...

You are talking different things. I have a thick skin and if someone writes me an insulting email (which happens pretty often after I do a few bans), I just delete them. That doesn't mean it's right that people write insulting. In my case I move on. But if you are here, in a game, where the other person may be posting on your threads, on world chat and on your PM on a daily basis... well, if reported I will definitely take a stand.

Some wise words being typed here.I always work on the premise of "don't complain if a bear bites you after you have poked it with a stick" (well in my private life anyway)in public life I poke lots of bears with sharp sticks,but then I don't complain when they bite!

ok i started this thread after i got a few threats via pm i did laugh out of it. But no one is the same this girl was bullied at school and online and she ended her life. please think about peoples state of mind before you go sending pms or making threats on wc or forum

I know about the Amanda Todd case. It really is quite tragic. I hope that it never gets that bad here.

But here is a quote from you Dog on another thread regarding another player. I'd be a bit insulted if I was this guy...Maybe he should screenshot it and send it in? Not terribly harsh in my opinion but I would think if one is going to start a thread on bullying, then maybe he should watch what he says...so he doesn't end up looking like a hypocrite...I sure hope this guy's state of mind is ok...

i never started the thread on bulling zuperman did he didn't leave a option to reply so i just wanted him to post what a player should do about this situation.we know what to do but some newer younger players may feel victimized and alone

Zuperman why not give an option to blacklist player(s) or ignore user list.

If suppose I blacklist player A, I will not see his any post on forum and likewise on world chat, nor can we exchange any PM.

This way you will be relieved somewhat from complaints and member of being bullied by other member.

Don't know whether it's possible or not.
