Mind u the us fed govt has done alotta good in the past to protect citizens rights from being violated by rogue states, the entire civil rights movt for ex.

Now if i could talk like that in hs i woulda aced my remedial history class.

they are not automatic they are semi automatic and guns are for more than hunting like target shooting collecting etc.

I collect and compete. young people today worry me they are so willing to give up rights it is scary. the continued sissification of the american male and passification of our youth through schools and liberal garbage continues with every generation. a recent test had ivy league college student signing a petition to limit our right to free speech even so as not to offend anyone. guns are as american as apple pie and john wayne lol. defend your rights young people they were fought for and hard earned. the right to defend ones life and family. or property or innocent people should be cherished. the bill of rights should not be tampered with ever. and the right to own means modern guns of the day not single shots and double barrels. I would like a cannon myself but it dont fit my holster lol.

and as for self defense dont think for one minute if your home gets invaded by multiple people that little five or six shot revolver just isnt gonna cut it most likely because unlike the movies or video games a person doesnt get slammed back or knocked down and stopped with one shot or even two in many cases. thats right gonna need bullets and factor in stress and adrenaline then that 20 or 30 round magazine will look mighty sweet and you will say wow I hope I have enough ammo. the only ones that suffer from bans and stricter control is law abiding people, thats it, not the bad guys cuz they just dont care. this is all long winded and prob fall on deaf ears to anti gun liberal ideologies but I am very protective of our bill of rights. people will wake up one day and read about one time they used to have all these rights, wonder what happened.

Make an 8th-grade spelling test the mandatory qualification

There, I fixed that for you

Thanks. I initially had another qualification but held it out. Must have missed that in the edit.

NP, just pulling your leg.

When I was younger, my family lived in a small town called Twentynine Palms, in the middle of the Mojave. One night, an intruder broke into our home. His mind was not in the right place, and neither were his intentions. My father was able to keep him away with his Glock 19, until the authorities came (a half hour later). No trigger was ever squeezed, but I don't want to know what would have happened if my dad hadn't had that gun to defend us with.

I know anecdotes have no place in a logical argument, but my opinion remains the same. I hope I never have to use my 92FS, but if I do, it's because there's a damn good reason.

My Aunt has a similar story. She was sunbathing on an empty beach in Presque Isle, and a creep came out of the woods next to the parking lot, naked. He gave her an evil grin and said, "hey baby, ever see one of these?". She smiled back and said, "yes, but not that small", then reached into her purse and pulled out her snub nose .38 and replied "how about you; you ever see one of these?" and pointed it at his nose. He took off fast and left his clothes in the woods.

I'm glad she had that pistol, she's really cool and if he had raped and killed her there on that beach I would miss her. Most of the time a gun is used in self defense, it is not fired. The anti crowd likes to use statistics showing how many people are killed in self defense versus homicides or suicides, but the reality is the presence of a gun and it's display often changes the dynamic. Most times a would-be criminal is confronted with a firearm, they change their mind, their direction of travel, their general outlook on crime as a vocation, and possibly thier political affiliation. Only psychopaths walk around hoping for a self defense situation where they can shoot someone, the average citizen will simply show that they are armed and that is the end of it. A person holding a gun, and the click of a chamber rotating or the racking the slide of a shotgun is usually interpreted correctly by the criminal as nature's way of saying "don't mess with me", like a rattlesnake's buzz, a dog with bared teeth or a skunk with it's tail up. Anyone not so dissuaded meant you harm in the first place.

Same story.
Two girlfriends of mine, Cheryl and Jennifer, were hiking together to some hot springs in Oregon. An unknown man came to join them and tried to keep them from leaving. One of the girls got out as the man grabbed the other...until Cheryl chambered a round in the 9mm Baretta her dad insisted she bring with her.

Some who hear this story say that two girls had no business hiking alone in the woods. Some say that Cheryl was illegally carrying a concealed weapon. Jennifer didn't believe in private gun ownership...until that day.
