After great thought.....MEAN....Eagle20 aka hawkassassin....and Comet....have had many a monster games with all of them at my side

D93 Big Gunzzz - this guy never ever gives up. Great quality of a wingman. Oh, and he's deadly too.

Horriblebreast - Funny banter in the game. I like entertainment while I fly. Its a game, right? Oh, and he's deadly too.

BlackDevilBubi - What? Oh yeah. The much hated BDB always gives the reds fits. As a wingman you know what he will do, either protect our hangars or sneak in and get some of theirs. He makes reds look high, opening up the low middle for a direct attack. Gotta love Bubi. Frankly I like this guy in the game as either red or blue, because it makes it a challenge when red and he is fun to chase, and a solid wing when blue, because the reds have to deal with him.

I gave that a lot of thought. Probably too much for a simple video game.

Honorable mention to Comet... he is hilarious in the game and that is what I want in a wing man!

In my opinion, a great wingman is someone who keeps track of what you are doing in the flow of the game, seems to know what you intend or are thinking and seeks to help you doing it. A great wingman should also be skilled and deadly in their own right. What does not make a great wingman is popularity in the messhall, so to speak. This said, I would have to choose:
(1) Talon---when we play, we are "in each other's pockets" and are collectively more effective because of it. We are really like wolves hunting with the pack mentality.
(2) Direwolf---the same is true, although we don't get to play together as often, and watch out reds when we do!
(3) Acegirl---she always knows what I am doing and seeks to help, if possible.

All 3 of these fearsome pilots show a game awareness that is invaluable in winning, as opposed to just going after kills or being entertaining to fly with or talk to on chat. There are a number of other pilots I love to see in a game, either red or blue, like Big Gunzzz, Savage Viking, horriblebreast, Infernal, Comet, Von Hulk, Jimmy the Great, and others, but according to my definition of what a great wingman is, these are the 3 I would have to choose first. Thank you.
