Glad to know you are feeling a bit better, hope to God that you get to go home soon with your family. Please remember always to take care of yourself, a simple cold could always get complicated and you know you have your family that loves you and needs you. You also have a great family of friends here that care a lot about you and with their best wishes and prayers will get the lord to heal you and hopefully lift up your spirit and strength so you can be back home with your family. I believe all that tabulating statistics of who is the best player at this and at that might be making you dizzy, I sure would….”I am not good at numbers”, so best leave Blue to do all that for a bit and rest at home. Turn on the game and shoooooooot those reds and have fun. We will all keep you and your family in our prayers, many blessings and hope you get well soooooooon. Let the love of your family and friends, be your strengths and happiness, so you can be well.

I'm very glad to hear of your recovery, Sky.

My youngest son (named Sky BTW) went through a similar ailment a few years ago. It started as a cold and within 24hours had progressed to a point where about 65% of his avoli had collapsed. A life flight to UC Davis Medical center saved his life.

Since then I have heard of several other similar experiences. I sincerely hope that you and your family can get back to "normal" following this. It took a while for us to not go back to full "emergency mode" whenever a family member gets a cough. We invested in a digital oxygen saturation meter which can be clipped onto a finger and we've found it very handy to provide piece of mind after this scary event. I hope you are as lucky as we have been and that it is only a one time occurrence.

I also hope you are able to weather any financial setbacks this may have caused. 10 days in the picu ran up a bill of a ¼ million $.
