I am from Brazil, state of Minas Gerais. Im from the little town of Arcos (population of about 35-40 thousand people).

The city is known for limestone deposits (calcareous stones, calcium carbonate). Its the main economic-industrial activity of the city.
Nowadays I live in Itauna (Where I work), but I love my hometown - I go there at least once a month, to see old friends and relatives. I will be back there as soon I retire from work - counting down the years ahead.

Tourism is almost non-existent in Arcos right now, despite the beautiful landscapes out there. Take a look:





In the late 1990s people begun to practice climbing - these locations are just 6 miles away from the town. Take a look at these pictures .
