Wow!! My grandma had that sawing machine in her closet! Did you turn it into and art table? Painting is looking really good, can see you have to add a few parts that did not show in original picture. Try to give the painting a touch of you, a style of your own, so that makes it yours and different from the picture. I know you are recreating the pic, but would be fun to add something small and different that makes it yours; and I do not mean the signature that goes without saying. And no not a red nose!! That is not what I mean ether. Very niiiiiiiiiiiiiice work. ;)

A WW1 pilot. (a work in progress)

The right one is a detailed model of 222.000_something vertex (kind of reference points for the computer to display the model)
The left one "only" has 1143 vertex and a normal map, a texture that simulates structure and bounces light off in a way so it imitates the details of the far more complex model.

It still has to be textured and rigged (given a "skeleton") so it can be moved in a game engine or a video.

Definitely cool Rudolf.
But why did you leave the six guns/holsters out?

Pilots in WW1 were issued a gun for only one purpose. To prevent them from dying when the plane crashed or burning to death, since High Command thought that giving them parachutes encouraged cowardice.
Lucky pilots had seatbelts.

I've read that the British Navy used to have a similar view on whether or not sailors should know how to swim. They thought they would be more likely to jump overboard when they came under attack.

I think Gannet was responding to the pose of the pilots. They look like they should be in an old Western, at ten paces and ready to draw! Lmao!

Cool stuff, RR.

The land/city is all black on my windows tablet.
Is this my tablet low resources, or is it a model of a city at midnight?

Might be that their internet cable isn't long enough to reach New Zealand?

It's probably those darn worm hunting Kiwis again. They stretch the cable so thin that it wont take broadband.

"Kiwi fruit" was a marketing exercise, when we were kids we called them "chinese gooseberries"
