If we are including people we have met, then I have a couple adds;
I had lunch in a trendy NYC restaurant and David Hasselhoff came in with a couple people and discussed a new project. I waited until they were getting ready to leave and strategically bumped into him at the door to shake his hand and say hi. When you have met the Hoff, it's kinda all downhill from there,but I recently met Chumlee from Pawn Stars at the Carnegie Deli, in the ultra cramped quarters of the downstairs john. He was kind enough to bump over one to make room. My favorite run-in was Nicolas Cage. I tagged along to a bar near where one of the late night talk shows used to film, with a colleague who wanted to show me the impressionist art behind the bar (someone here will know it, I have no clue). Cage and his Italian looking entourage waltz in in silk shirts and sit next to us. I played it cool, but at one point said "loved you in Raising Arizona". They didn't get the adulation they were expecting, apparently, and left within an hour. The waiter said they stiffed him, and always do. I called my wife, a big Cage fan, and she didn't believe it. I described what he was wearing, and she watched the show (filmed before he stopped at the bar and rebroadcast later) and called back when she saw the red silk shirt with the black stripes I had described.
My favorites over the years: Shelby Foote, Brooke Shields, Flavor Flav, and (then) Senator Barack Obama.
