Ive played with this clown numerous times. Sometimes he takes his licks other times he lags like mad and has to be pumped full of a half a clip of ammo before exploding. I dont like him. Yet one more person whos driving me away. Im sure at some point I'll break down and start flying again but to be honest with you I'm too old for the bs. I personally think this game needs the minimum age requirement reset to 18, if this were a disc console game the esrb would rate it m for mature bc it involves simulated killing of people and war violence. Not that i wasnt playing war games at 13, but back then the mmo platform was still a dream in programmers minds. We always post "this guy or that gal did this that or the other thing its douchebaggery, it sucks waaaa waaaaa waaaaaa". Is anything ever done about it that is actually effective? No. Even the bonafide cheaters like the moustache man get around permabans by changing their isp address. While i do like the idea of building squads and using those squads to battle each other, the simple fact is that there is nothing to stop the people who ruin good matches. Im not gonna play thirty crap matches just to have one good match with honorable players, especially not if i have to worry about whether or not some dickhead is gonna come in to ruin the match. As far as the argument of maybe some of these people are letting their little siblings or cousins play goes, i say this: DONT LET ANYONE ELSE USE YOUR ACCOUNT!!! We're all held accountable for what happens on our accounts, so dont share it with others. And if they want to play so bad make them an account, and make bloody sure they understand the code of conduct before they play. I never play this game when my neice or nephew can see me playing it bc they are too young to be mucking about like this. This game once was a lot of fun for me. Now it isnt bc i have to deal with too much drama. The forum has become filled with posts complaining about this that and the other thing. Why? I thought the forum was a recruiting tool, but really its not much better than world chat. In my opinion, i honestly dont know how much longer this game can last before its pulled off the market and replaced with something else. Sorry zup, i know you check all this stuff, but there it is. Perhaps reviewing how you police your game from a standpoint of majority rules as opposed to whatever reasons or methods you currently use could help. I invested a lot of time and some money in this game and id hate to see it go but it seems to me like its on the diminishing returns side simply bc cheaters and less than honorable players are driving people away.

Why do people get so pissed off when some one drops there bombs. From what I see is that they want to be a bomber escort or clear the way for the people that do cary bombs. If you got a problem with droppers then drop your bomb and deal with them. If you still can’t kill them even if you drop your bomb or try anything then you are at fault for your own failure. You guys always say that they are not helping with the win of a game but really if you are all distracted with some guy that dropped his bomb there is enough of a distraction that the guys on his team with bombs could slip in and bomb you.

I swear this game is becoming Communist russian or something. No one is allowed to be them selves. If you drop your bomb and do as the game says and dogfight then your considered ignorant scum who does not play by the rules. If you take a different route then the Middle of the map then you are Ignorant scum who does not play by the rules and some coward.

Pull your heads out of your ass and stop telling people what they can do and what they can’t do in this game. Learn to deal with the complications other players can put on you.

The only rules that need to be followed are those made by Joaquin. No cursing, sexual harassment, or verbal harassment of any kind, team killing, bombing of ones own hangers.

Those are the rules that are written in stone. Nothing there about spawn killing, or flying anywhere but down the center of the map. There is nothing there about dropping your bomb.

If you feel those should be rules then put them in your dam squad rules and only force them on your squad members. For god sake let people have an individual play style. If you don’t believe in god or any god then replace the word code with Humanity or the Games.

I am not writing this in the Defense of Rojo. I don’t know that guy and have never played with him. I am writing this because it gets annoying listening to people say you stupid bomb dropper or why are you going around. I mean what is this game supposed to be a place where only the skilled people win and if you think and try to use some sort of different tactic your a criminal for thinking and using your brian to make things go in your favor. The game is no fun because of people that think the game should be played a certain way. To bad the whole game is filled with them.

And there it is, the post I knew was coming from you - I applaud you for your restraint boss, I know how frustrated and disappointed you are with things lately and have an idea of what you'd REALLY like to say out loud.
I can hear the groans now; "If you're that pissed off then don't play the game.", or "It is what it is, quit whining and deal with it."

Fair enough. But ask anyone who is really into this game like most of us here are, how easy it is to simply "not play". We freaking love this game, and why not? It's special, unique, and addictive as they come. And many of us have made friends here that we're not willing to walk away from.
I only started playing the first week of October, but in a mere 3 months I've seen the whole atmosphere of not just the game itself, but this forum I love so much, turn from a carnival atmosphere into something darker and I'll say it straight out - it makes me sad.
What has changed since the fall to bring about all these issues? Does it have anything to do with Windows? What other major changes to the game have occurred that it's seemingly overrun with cheaters, douche bags, and game ruining wankers?
When I look up the players we blacklist and complain about, I can't find any that are close to reaching MORAF, and most are below my current rank of III Air Marshal (25). Given that I play A LOT, this would suggest that these guys came in around the same time as I did or shortly after.
I don't know the history of the game that well so tell me if I'm wrong - was it always like this, even a little? Can we expect it to get worse?

In all these posts, all the smoking gun screenshots, and all the threads full of complaints, bans, and angry rants, I have yet to see a single comment from Echoboom. Not even a hint of acknowledgement that this is in fact a real issue. I know they read it, I know they are aware.

Echoboom if there's nothing you can do, just say so. If you're working on it, just tell us. If you need assistance or more info or ANYTHING, just ask. I think you'll find a lot of support and willingness to help on this forum.

I hope my squadron leader comes back soon.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm referring to the players who we can't kill that seem to be cheating somehow. There will always be players who don't seem to follow any code or play with a style that most don't approve of, there's little to be done about that. I'm asking about this seemingly new breed of cheaters that are able to ruin games using techniques that are outside of rules and etiquette.

Not to disagree with anything you have said Sky, just wanted to comment on a point you made here. You don't spawnkill because you are a Falcon. As a [M]isfit we also have a rule against spawnkilling! as do many other squads that I am familiar with. I would suggest then, that many of us feel the same about spawnkilling. Whether you call it cowardly, unfair, or anything else most of us agree that it is a poor way to play.

dropping in defence of your base is fine, it's those that drop so they can go camp at the red base that people hate.

I've got to say that I completely agree with Skydavis here.

I don't know why so many players (including those from my own squad) have a problem with this. Why would anyone want to limit the game to some particular playing style? I understand that some people don't like it when a bomb the base turns into a midfield dogfight but there is nothing preventing anyone from going up and over when it happens. Most who disapprove of dropping also insist that it does nothing to help the team win. Why then does the other team have a problem with it? Is it that you are just worried about your own KDR? Dropping and camping can go way too far. I'm sure there are jerks who do it solely to increase their KDR for their own ego boost. I say target them and neutralize them. They will leave if their precious KDR starts slipping. I carry unless I come upon a red dropper/chaser or another threat that can be better handled without a bomb. It's amazing how many times other reds will complain about it though.


As far as a bomb the carrier game is concerned the effectiveness of tanks makes carrying a disadvantage. Unfortunate but true. I carry for the most part but I don't have any hesitation with dropping for any of many reasons.

I've said it before. When (if) squad wars ever become reality players will have to reevaluate their thoughts on tactics because a team of all up the middle carriers will get their assets handed to them on a plate by a team that integrates dropper/ chasers, sneaks and up the middle carriers.

If you disagree please, by all means, play the way you feel is right and prove your point. I sincerely feel that unless the dropper/camper is relentlessly spawn killing lower ranks, the whining and complaining is a far greater detriment to this community.

If you are in an even game and want to drop than that isn't to bad in itself except most everyone will have to drop also to fight him, in a bomb base mission it defeats the purpose if you are forced to lose your bomb.

But when it's 6 vs 2 then it's a really frustrating situation when he easily gets behind you for a CHEAP EASY KILL while the poor red is trying to hold everyone off. I know it's only a game however i believe in honor in everything i do. DROPPING FOR CHEAP EASY KILLS IS A LOUSY WAY TO GET KILLS. Especially in a lopsided game and then they camp shooting poor noobs who's trying to learn the game.

In the above game I asked for a pass because I was showing a family member about the game. But nooooo he kept shooting us down.

So after hunting Dragon Rojo for 2 days I decided to tell him why as best that google translate would let me and I found that I think he feels ganged up on and people attack him and really he would like to be our friend but since he doesn't speak english he has tried his best to play. I think someone who speaks spanish would be very helpful to sort this out and we could have another very good player who gets along rather than makes us mad he just needs to know...or at least that is what I understand.

If he's for real I'd definitely prefer to have another "good guy" around as opposed to another name on the hate list. It's just that he's been playing the way he has for a long time, it might be difficult for some to give him a chance to show what he can do.

What I basically tried to say to him is that he is a low honor player. We have been talking about him. We know he has good skill and that is the sad part since he plays the way he does. This is why I have been hunting him and killing him. I would like it much more if he was to learn what are good ways to play and the bad things to avoid and maybe we can all be friends. That was my feeling too, if he plays well and can behave here and there he is no GodofGods and he might change when he knows...he could turn into a loewenhardt too but at least we know he understands his choice and we can enjoy hunting season!

I've got to agree. I had a bomb-the-hangers game where I was outnumbered 5:1, and couldn't get off the runway. And he is a good pilot, doesn't need to resort to cheap tactics.

He spawned into a game last night that was only a Stache short of a trifecta, as TGOG was there providing much amusement. Gotchya and I were paired with the ever colorful TGOG, against a shifting slate of notable veterans and a couple promising newcomers, and had all we could handle playing defense. TGOG bailed an hour or so in, although I will say for a level 12 in a red triplane there must be some blushing going on by some veterans out there.

For a brief minute it looked like we would prevail as the odds evened, and Gotchya hit a pair of hangars from a tank, then we went back to 5 and 6 on 2 with Rojo one of the latecomers. Rojo got creamed in the center a few times and went into perpetual sneak mode and there wasn't much we could do as we were firing in all directions as they were going left, right and high as well as pushing the middle and keeping a near constant fire on the base. I shot him down once either without a bomb or he missed, but he played reasonably straight. He may have been coming to camp, but I torched him before he could make his intentions apparent. I could easily handle him one on one, no lagging or bullet resistance noted. He carried at least twice, and got the last two. Maybe the talk worked.

I'm happy to hear you say that, I have tried to say Hola Dragon Rojo since the talk and he replies Hola Whiplash and all seems good. I also asked my friend EAS to have a talk with him if he could since I don't really know what I have been saying using a translator and all. So maybe EAS or someone he knows gave him some tips? It would be nice to know that we are all getting along better now, even DragonRojo.

dragon Rojo has kind of grown on me. We chase alot and he has been a good player to play with..
