He made me look like that bad guy yesterday when after a day of abuse I enter a game and he warns others about my behaviour. Lots of you would've seen his recent barrage of abuse towards me and most of you.

Please report here (with pictures, if possible)

My first encounter with him/her/it...I spawned into the game, throttle up, brakes on. I release the brake and up I went, didn't even make it past the buildings when I hear a crash. I look back and its sam22, instantly starts to cuss at me saying how I crashed him/her/it. I calmly said you ran into me...how is that my fault? Next thing I know sam22 tk's me....wth... been looking for the terd since.

Max I think god of thunder sounds good ......so.....erm......lets.......BRING THE RAIN!!!

ive obviously been away from df for nigh on 8 months now and have only just got it back up and running when I ran into sam and I must say what a superb player it is......oh sorry I meant you....oh yes the sam person......utterly hateable within seconds of playing a game with him or her. Such language should be saved for use elsewhere. .... I only need a game or two to get into a persons mind and my word there are issues with this one! (This is my own opinion of course and should not reflect on anyone else)

I have a serious problem with Sam22.

It has been 3 days since my last encounter with Shemantha. I freely admit that I look foreward to our next encounter. I will refrain from the hard stuff (TK ing) but I will have a difficult time refraining from the more acceptable lighter stuff (Sk ing)

I hope that someday I will be free from the temptation of smashing his/her little...? wait! This isn't the 12 step program? Nevermind.

I'm a cheating bully or at least that was the result from my only recent encounter. I'll have to try harder. I'll keep you posted, but I'm afraid I'm a little screenshot shy lately. I get booted about half the time I try do to a sticky button.

Wow guys, this is really getting out of hand here. Ok so Sam22 is a foul mouth, whiner, camper, spawnkiller, and teamkiller. But what makes him/her/it any different the the other well known pilots out there that do the same damn thing! Why dose this person get so much attention? No, im not stuckin up for sam. But im just not really understanding this. There are meny others that have been on the black list that dont have their own thread. I rarely get involved in this type of drama. But this is just nuts. Some one please explain it to me.

I am in email contact with sam22. Given all the room for misunderstandings, I am keeping an open mind. The blacklist posts weigh heavily. One thing that's incontravertible is screenshots. Sam22 also has a couple that tell part of the story. I'm not sure how this one started, but it's become a feeding frenzy over here. Can everyone chill a bit? I will keep emailing, asking clarifying questions, and looking for some coherence. Nor sure how it will turn out.

What seems to be getting out of hand here is the fact that nothing happens to these people that keep repeating the same bad behavior.

Ok bhfoust how about a lil something like......lets say....if in game with a major pain in the rear we all stop....find said idiot based on your intel from their own team and just obliterate the person into quitting....then continue with said game

Sam22 is a special case.

It’s not a matter of how Sam plays. It’s the unprovoked spewing of profanity that makes him unwanted. Sam’s skills are decent and he/she seems to play in a team focused manner. This is a perfect example of someone who would do just fine muted.

Sam22’s spewing is the kind of filth that cheapens the game. It’s trash talk. It’s fighting words “Trash” and “filth” are uninviting. The false accusations are provocative too. It takes away from the game. It just serves to make people mad and uncomfortable. The only way to avoid it is to turn off chat but that takes away from the experience by isolating everyone. This is the kind of trash talk that makes dogfight just another on-line game with all of the jerks who get their kicks by trash talking people who don’t have any recourse. I don’t want to spend my time here when it’s like it. My 13 year old has shown this game to his cousins and friends. It’s embarrassing when the other parents see or hear about all of profanity coming from the game which I’ve been talking so highly about.

Sure this is “just a game”. This game is unique (within my experience) in that it requires genuine skill and that the “community” who plays it actually works on being able to contribute to a team effort. Sam22 seems to do fairly well in game, definitely contributing toward a team win. When I’ve see him/her go off on someone it’s always been someone else who is just playing the game too. Sure other players will spawn kill or camp. It can be obnoxious but it is part of the game. There are ways of dealing with it with skill and teamwork. I’ve only heard about Sam team killing anyone. He/she didn’t do it to me given the chance so maybe there is a modicum of respect for the game there.

I don’t think a ban is necessary here but why hasn’t Sam22 been muted? The rules are about profanity are explained in the user agreement. There have been many complaints and screenshots. He/she has contacted Manfred out of game, so obviously he/she can find the forum and read about the issues he/she accuses other players of. There is no reason why this person should not be held accountable. This kind of player will drive away “good” players and provoke others to spread the trash.

I did not call Sam22 out unprovoked. Sam profanely insulted me and made false accusations against me while trying to get other players to believe I was playing in an unfair way. I play by the rules and I would like to be able to do so without being trashed on by someone who cannot or will not control their urge to abuse other people. If he changes his attitude I have no problem with him.

Quite correct bhf. Which means that according to the Rules of Z (the Newer Rules), at most Sam22 is looking at 40 hours of mute and maybe 40 hours of ban. That does kind of make you go, Huh?

Both of Snobumm's game accounts, r.i.p. AND **Blackstar**, were seen active today. Sure, Zup rebanned Sno from the forum when he came back as r.i.p. and ripped into anyone who might dare question the integrity of the New Guy's New Lie. But if memory serves, Snobumm was banned from the game too... or maybe he wasn't?

My purpose in investigating Sam22 is threefold.
1. We really do want to know if Sam22 is balu59/russl22. Really.
2. The screenshots are damning. So mute and ban. 40 hours. But what happens AFTER the 40 hours? If no one seeks to expand anyone's understanding, Sam22 will be right back to swearing like the drunken Russian supermodel that he/she claims to be, because others will be targeting him/her unsolicited. One begets the other, regardless of which comes first.
3. And which came first? Sam22 has a story to tell, and while completely incoherent right now, the story seems to imply some problems with a few current players. If these players really did this, someone needs to say "hey don't do that sh!t" because it messes with the brains of new players. And can push them to swear like a drunken Russian supermodel.

Maybe it is all a moot point, if nobody is receiving consequences for game behavior. Maybe we don't have to follow all the stupid little rules we seem to have here, but don't actually have.

Sounds good to me..I remember when I first started playing this game, there was a lot less of this behavior. Come to think of it thats exactly how the bad eggs use to be taken care of. These people coming up from the noob servers are just going to keep getting worse because they seem to be playing unsupervised I guess you could say. If I talked like that person i would have never made it in the air a year ago. Amazing how much things have changed.

It only takes one person to completely destroy a good game. This person seems to have all the bases covered when it comes to game wrecking skills. Like I said in my first post on this thread, my first encounter with him was getting tk by him...after he crashed into me!! A small ban will not change that kinda attitude. I have never provoked any of the attention he has given me. Well...unless shooting him down all the way to his base or shooting his plane with my tank. (very satisfying BTW)
I personally don't like being called a cheater, or a f**get. I don't have to much problem with him when he is on my team, but I still have to see his smart a$$ comments towards me. I play this game pretty fair in my opinion. Unless your kaf 1 I would like to see sam22 on the forum so he could give his side of bs. On second thought after the rip thing...maybe not such a good idea

I know he hates me and I have annoyed him but only since my original flight where we wer having a good game and he was doing well but suddenly starting extreme swearing and homophobic remarks, since then I have not liked him but will try and make better later ingame.

Agreed with everything you're saying Max. I just don't want this suspicion to become assumed in people's heads just because the suspicion is being talked about. It would sabotage any restart if Sam22 is going to be banned and come back reformed, because a few people will be taunting and Sam22 will have to work extra hard to resist reacting.

Yes, they both talk like Eastern European English-second-language speakers who watched the Southpark Movie as part of their English language curriculum**. But so far I'm not seeing anything that seals the deal. Doesn't mean it's not true, doesn't mean it is either. I'm working this one in the background.

** Before anyone jumps on my ass, that's not meant as an insult to Eastern Europeans. I was a part-time English instructor early on, and there is a strain of English learner who for whatever reason (movies, original culture) use expletives freely as adjectives and adverbs.

Ok, around five ago I got in a dogfight game with Sam and instantly suggested that I would like to end our illvibes, it wasn't exactly what I wanted to do but I do believe in giving people a chance/chances. In this world we have a rehabilitation scheme for criminals/offenders and on occasion it works so this is my 'probationary' truce with him.

Some people do not get the nuances of this game. Some can not figure out certain aspects of the game and get frustrated. Most of those leave and put up some wacky review in the stores. I chuckle at the ones who say it is impossible to fly thru the rings.
My only advice is to try and explain. Communicate simple answers and stress it takes a little effort to understand the game. If a player is ready to give up the game they are more likely to be vulgar and not try to play by the rules. They will start teamkilling just to get a little bang for their buck. There are also the trolls who feed on making others upset. Welcome to the internet. Ignore them and they will go away. Feed them and they call their friends.
Don't aggravate the situation. If they continue to be vulgar and abusive then they have anger management/social issues.
I remember seeing ~~ guy complain a long long time ago about lag and cheaters. He didn't get any answers. Now he is top of the villain list. What if we could have explained to him the situation and he learned to live with his bad connection a long time ago? Maybe he would have learned how to get a better connection. Some of our top guys now lag on occasion and we don't attack them for it.

One thing for certain: Sam22 does not understand a lot of things about this game. That's what I've been trying to do via email, to tell all about glitches that Sam22 thinks are players cheating. We've all seen newer players and even older players pull the Cheating Card, and we laugh. But do we destroy them so they can't play any more without being targeted?

Ok ok, to be fair, have any of those other players spouted profanity like Sam22? No. Teamkilled? No. So Sam should get a 2 day mute and ban, and let's see how it plays out after that.

I'm amazed by how much I've had to explain via email, but at the same time, you can sort of see it coming. After an initial experience being blitzed on a runway by good players, and not being a pushover, Sam22 spewed profanity. A lot of it. Stuff to make a Russian barkeeper blush. In the next game, these same players laughed and targeted the pottymouth. Understandable. Then Sam22 spawns on a runway, slides forward a little, and another teammate spawns and takes off. In the ensuing crash, the player's bomb explodes, and a kill is recorded. Sam22 says Cheater Teamkiller and throws expletives up the wazoo. That player reports, and now Sam is a big target by many, not just the players affected, but by a lot of vigilante readers. By now, Sam22 is pissed at an un-just game, and occasionally fires on a teammate without remorse. Somewhere along the line, Cricket nails Sam22 from a mile away, and Sam ways WTF you cheater. Cricket is good, almost magical in the air, and the revenge kills rack up like a ringing gas pump. Really seems like cheating. The notion of Russl22 starts up. Everyone jumps in.

I know, I know. No one can cheat. But a new player doesn't know that. The runway spawndeath bug can feel like a teamkill. Cricket's long-distance bullet plugs can feel like ghostly assassination. Everyone is against you, because they actually are. Quit bug, server quits, no connection, all feel like players kicking you out. I am in the process of explaining all of these to Sam. It's amazing what kind of assumptions a player can make about all these if they are a little paranoid and not on the forum asking questions. (Ok, a LOT paranoid. But that's not a crime, or Max would be wearing stripes on top of his MORAF stripes.)

As for the forum. Sam22 apparently can't log on. Not sure what's up. Did for a little while but just read posts, and some PM's to another player who was answering some questions. Still reading the forum now. I don't mind being a go-between for the moment, if a fresh start (after ban) can be accomplished. But the fresh start will be sabotaged if Sam is still a target after the ban. Sam is (somewhat slowly) understanding the bugs of the game and that no one can cheat. Sam does understand now that foul language is NOT tolerated, and accusations of cheating will only get him/her targeted. Before O.G. posted those screenshots, Sam emailed his/her own screenshots to me with some pride. I think Sam is ready for the 2 day break and restart. How about us? Are we ready?

Worst thing that can happen is that our little welfare program is wrong, Sam22 spews the same crap in the airwaves and disrupts a game or two while folks take screenshots, and is banned permanently. Well, I suppose the worst thing pointed out by Max and others is that Sam pulls the wool over our eyes and is actually Russl22. But I just don't think so. Plus, Zup's amnesty from some months ago brought Russl22 back into the game. He is alive and well, playing quietly, and rank #140.

Anyway, is that such a bad downside?

BTW, I keep saying he/she because I don't know anything for certain, and yes there are a lot of pretenders out there. It's not that I'm avoiding looking like a fool later (I do that already). It's that telling you that Sam22 claims to be a 39 year old woman would send you all off laughing, and I totally understand that. But that's what she (he) says. Anyway I'll stick with he/she for now, and post-ban, Sam can tell us who he/she is. Or not. I've told him/her that people just don't believe anything if it sounds the least bit far fetched, especially if you start out on the wrong foot. A little bit of the Baby-Love dynamic, lol. (And I still think that the MOMs drooled over what ultimately was a fat middle-aged man permanently butt-planted on a couch. But that's just me, I doubt everything on the internet.)

Ive played many rounds with Sam22, surprisenly i found him or her oustanding, but when he or she is in my sights with countless take-out the responce is enigmas cheating. And as many of you know thats impossible. When the game is going great his or hers way, you dont hear a sound, but as again when theres a game changer, its your cheating or spawning. Now how does someone who plays so well, have such a low self of steam. It really doenst matter, because again this is my out-let. Win or loose its just plain fun... i forgive you Sam22...

Played a few games earlier with Sam22. Some red some blue.

It went well. No spewing. No TK. Good skills. We had a head on double kill followed by a triple spawn crash for Sam an a double for me. I said "sorry Sam"
Sam said "np" then "you died too"
