Lois wakes to the morning suns rays. They cascade across the room through a slight gap in the curtains.The candles now burnt and extinguished. The embers of the once raging, now dead fire, crackle and pop. Like the fire Lois is exhausted and spent. Feeling an animalistic longing for Max. A saddened, strange, sense of shame fills her heart. Where is the raging beast of a man that I long for? Since the first time she saw Max three months ago, she knew she could not resist the gravity of his testosterone, oozing from every pore. She was drawn to him like a meteor to the Sun. Lois wonders, does he respect me? Will He call? Again tears well up in her eyes.

Swop has irritated me more times than I can count. I believe he goes out of his way to do it. Bully, naw. Poking fun at some one that supposedly has a "sense of humor" yeah. Dishing him some of his own medicine in my own way, HELL YEAH. I have no idea where bully came in to this.


I have more of these if you'd like to see them. From several different players in several different games. That's what started me down this road in the first place. But thanks for defending Swops virtue. I'm perfectly happy to stay away from Swop, believe me. If he could ONLY do the same. But don't jump to his defence when you haven't got both sides of the story. He brings it on himself. Let him fight his own battles he starts. This is much better than me dropping F bombs and going on a snowbumm rant on the forum towards him. This all started with Swop "putting me in my place" on world chat. Max. I didn't invite only you to the Jolly Roger for the contest. Our friend Swop has more than his share of "issues" sometimes. It's just that when he writes "my name is not Lois" 15 times, I start wondering if he is about to crack, or if the pressure is becoming real to him. ???:/???

Max, the word "bully" was the wrong choice. Sorry... I should have said , "can we hold off on another crusade for now?" I just don't wanna see either of you tormenting each other, specially while my shovel is still dirty after they used it to bury Snow yesterday. Due to publishing issues, a plagiarism law suit, and an issue with Fabio wanting more than he is worth for the cover art, the "Max Softcore" series of romance novels has been canceled. Too bad, there were a few more steamy pages in the works.

My friend, you know this is all just gentle fun. Don't take it seriously. You attract people's attention, which is a good thing. If some of your publicity isn't as positive as you would like, just ignore it. Oscar Wilde said that the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.
So just enjoy the satisfaction that everyone knows you, and that you are one of those folk who make the diverse world of DF forum so entertaining. Oh, and by the way, congrats on your top ten position. I look forward to knocking you off in about six months time.

Jackie. I only mentioned the anti jesus stuff so you understand its beyond just the lois stuff. I have not done anything to deserve max to do this. I have ignored for over one month and he still does his stuff. When in game with him i really dont say much. One mention annoying. I only say something based on one who starts the instigation. I believe the initiator is worse than the responder. I have ignored and it has been over 2 months since max has begun this routine. Max needs to modify his banner that says lois lane fan club.

Im not about to crack. I just posted so that those who support max by calling me lois know.

Im not cracking im just standing up for myself like anyone would in my position. When one ignores and it goes on for months what does one do but what i have done.

I know that you did it all in fun, but I was disappointed, and to be honest quite upset with you when you took over Parrots school thread.
I know you where making fun of it(and not only you), but I was looking forward to actually LEARN somethings.
I don't have English as my spoken language and it's a long time since I went to school.
Before I started playing Dogfight I hardly spoke or wrote anything other then in Swedish for about 20 years.
I don't want to slaughter the English language, so I thought Parrots thread was god given.
To combine humor and teaching I thought was a splendid idea.

The Ol'Swop knows better, Ol'Swop makes a better teacher, Parrot is a fool, don't listen to him, made you a backseat driver.

Bell you have the idiom correct (with its Swedish origin!), but your original statement would have been one step more clear as "And guys don't *have* Swop run the gauntlet."

Swop maybe you mistook Bell's statement as implying that you are the one "throwing down the gauntlet." But he is not thinking you are an instigator like that. Instead, he wants everyone else to lay off putting you through the punishing gauntlet.

I'm not going to quote all that Max (too long)... I never think of you as a Bully. You are one of the Good one's that I enjoy seeing around here.... Everytime you show up ingame I think, Ohh crap, But I know it's going to be some good fun... Same here on the forum....

Yay! He speaks! Finally, clarity abounds. A well spoken argument Max, far more productive than stooping to Swobfuscation and dribbly incoherence.

Whether I agree 100% (I don't), or totally disagree (I don't), or somewhere in between (see below), ya'll must recognize the observations made in the Max Manifesto as legitimate observations. Albeit from a somewhat impatient perspective that is Max. But impatience is the only real flaw that I see here.

Oh man you made me read the whole English 101 thread again. A highly enjoyable thread for the original purposes. But the Doughens posts were (typically) painful. While I don't agree with many of the sinister assignments you interpret from Swobfuscating Posts, I am reminded of some old high school classmates:
- "Hey guys hey guys hey guys wait for meeeeeeeee!"
- "Whatch'all talkin' about here? Mind if I impose myself on the conversation? Let's talk about something else. Or at least, I'll interject myself at awkward moments and follow up on my own comments with more comments."
- "Teacher they're making fun! See? See?"
- "Maybe if I keep talking about nonsense, they won't ignore me as much."

I was no social smooth-talker in high school, but these four guys (each one represented above) stick in my memory so clearly. Yet they were educational, because they illustrated what not to be. I never made fun, but when I was tailed, I spun and gave escalating Go-Away's until they got the message. A couple never got the message, and when I was cornered by annoyance I would lash out.

Buddy, "annoying" isn't a characteristic experienced by the person who is emanating the annoyance. It is an emotional response experienced by the person perceiving it. You can't tell others who think you are annoying that you aren't - it's like telling them what to think. You actually ARE that annoying, to me. Just read the English 101 thread. Who does that? Declares themselves part of the joke, their part of the joke falls flat and is largely ignored, but yet they continue on as if the whole room is laughing. Some people just let stuff like that pass. But it annoys ME, and you can't take that away just by saying it doesn't exist.

It's no sin to be annoying. But to ignore feedback and declare oneself a victim to it, that's purely a character flaw. You may wind up in a different heaven because you think you believe a little harder than the rest of us. I'll be in heaven too, but I hope that because I try to fix my character flaws, my heaven won't be as lonely as yours.

Max, maybe my initial judgment that you are too impatient was wrong. Or at least, I have the same flaw. I think I have some work to do on myself.
