Are you loaded up with apps? A lot of these function in the background, and with some frightening memory. Since running Advanced Task Manager seems to my Quit problems, I figure that reducing the app load must help overall. (The function of A.T.M. that helps the Quits is when I have it force-stopping extraneous apps every 60 seconds.)

I dont have many apps but i just downloaded Advanced task killer and it seems all my apps r running at once.... could that cause a problem?

[EDIT] Nope still womt get passed lvl4. It runs smooth till the detailed explosions come in, it goes from 58 at lvl 2 to 13 at lvl 3 and back up to 16 at lvl 4. That smoke and fire kills my speed.

Do you have a browser running? Mine gobbles up huge memory. Try hitting Kill in A.T.M., quitting it (or have it on its own kill list, quits right out), and then boot up DF immediately. That gives me the cleanest starting point.

Sorry to say but I dont think you are suffering insufficient RAM.I think the problem is the GPU it will be struggling to cope with the graphics rendering.A bench test will show you that even a Galaxy S2 rates higher.All the app closing isnt going to improve the matter.

don't worry too much. New water and train are not published to mobile since it was giving too much trouble. I will add cooler water soon, as soon as I figure what's causing the issues.

The train will have to wait for now.

And... your phone is not that old, the problem is that many manufacturers do a cheap version of the devices. So I still see new phones coming out that have the power of a 4 year old phone. They are free or hyper cheap for a reason.

I wish it came with one of those "Runs Dogfight at level 7" stickers :)

One glitch that is annoying me, not performance wise, just annoying my OCD. And figured id let u know about it.
Its flipped shadows on the bottom wing of both albotrosses and the back elivator and the top aileron of the SE5a

Sorry Zup but the freeze ups on apple are REALLY getting old. Almost every game I play now is a freeze up I have to leave. The whole app even freezes. I have to reset the pad then turn it back on and shut down/restart the app.

Still have phantom Windows 8.

Mole tanks and planes flying and shooting through hills and buildings.

Pushed off the carrier deaths at spawn

Spawn crashes

Now I cant even seem to stay in a broken game. I have to quit. Ooooooof

My s4 and I seams to agree on one thing.
Seams like the phone doesn't like windows 8 ghosts either. :P

The quit-bug seams to hit more frequently when there is a windows player in the game, and if I fly a longer period without shooting, throttling, texting it can close down to sleepmode.

I have no scientific proof of the windows thing. It's more of a feeling I get.
Maybe it's a built in damage control.
Ohooo the frustration is getting out of hand. Better shut down before I get thrown in the wall again... :whistle:

Then again the quitting can cause that too :pinch:

I have now downloaded the modified beta and will try it out.

did a few games on my HTC one, no issues so far. didn't get shot down to try take or chute, but everything else looks good.

I'm sorry to say this doesn't work on my Galaxy S4.
First quit came after just 5 seconds (maybe you saw that one yourself Zup). It then continued to quit more frequently than the other beta. 7 times in 40 minutes. :sick:

hopefully i can get it here in spain. All galaxy have tons of different versions... there are like 30 different galaxy s3 and I have no clue how many s4
I'm looking at the difference between the 9505 and the regular 9500 right now

For what I see yours has an Adreno GPU (known to give trouble to Unity3d on different phones) and a Snapdragon 600 cpu, which should be fine. I'm 99% sure the problem is the Adreno GPU, but I have to figure out how to get this specific model on my hands.

Zup, now in steady state my S4 is quitting about every 10-15 minutes. It goes much longer if I have an app killer running in the background.
Android: 4.2.2

I don't know whether it would fix it, but this is fully specific version for your samsung s4

manfred, yours use a PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. Another different one grrr, Samsung oh Samsung, why on earth you make 50 different graphic chips for the same phone!

I was able to get one!

Hopefully it crashes on mine during testing so I can begin to look wtf is going on with these samsungs

I have tested it for a bit now and it's much better then yesterday's version.
It has quited once on me so far.

I have noticed another problem though.
If you click buy, then back something goes wrong.
The background goes black and when you click multiplay the next screen miss the play button.



This problem has been on all 3 versions of the beta.

Yes Bellsaj.i did notice that too but until the quit bug is fixed i could easily live with closing the app down and restarting.The priority for my sanity is the quit bug.It is the most frustrating thing i have encountered in two year of playing DF.It has ruined many games not just for me but for my team as by the time ive managed to get back to the same game reds have breeched and hovering dropping bombs game over.Im not gonna be much use in squad wars.
