Hey folks,

I was just in a DF game with OneBall, but he said he was his son and how do you play. He was flying pretty straight and the skies weren't busy so I coached him around in yanking and banking. The son said he's 20, and seemed to appreciate the instruction. He asked how good his father is, and of course I replied that he's one of the best. He then told me that his father is in the VA hospital right now. I asked him to pass along the best wishes from all the dogfight players, and I hoped it wasn't serious. OneBall's son said that he doesn't know, as his mom won't tell him. Eventually he said bye and I wished him well.

To my knowledge, (BE)OneBall- is not on the forum. But I've seen him in-game a lot, and I'm always thankful when he's on my side. And I'm always challenged when he's playing against me. He's a classy player.

Anyway, thought I'd pass this along. I took screenshots of the back end of the conversation, so I could replay the dialogue accurately for you all.

Hopefully he'll be better soon, and in the meantime OneBall is in my thoughts and prayers.

Oneball is not only the best. He is a top ace fighter. Two years fought side by side with me. I got to know from kestrel, he is in hospital.

So there is a thread. Cool. I would like to wish oneball a fast and complete recovery. I heard it from oneballs son. He said that oneball had a stroke and its too soon to tell if there is any real damage or not. My praters r going out to oneball and his family.

Just wanted to add my prayers for oneball, always happy to see,him in game, except when he was red! A formidable opponent and as nice a guy as you could meet in game.

My prayers go out to you one ball, come back soon buddy.

Just reading this now, prayers for a full recovery, get well.

Ran into Oneball Jr. in a couple games earlier. He said his dad was still in ICU and shared that he had another stroke. I'm not sure and didn't get a chance to ask if he meant in addition to one that put him in the hospital or if the stroke was why he was in the hospital to begin with.

At any rate, I asked him to tell OB we were all thinking of him to send him our best. Sending out the positive vibes, buddy.

One ball is back in his room. Son says he has some damage to hands and speech. Son said he smiled when he said he was playing game. Son says dad loves game and players, i said we all pray for him.

DF brethren, I have sad news. Just ran into Jr ingame and asked how OB was doing. He told us that they've administered last rites. Jr asked me to tell everyone thanks.

That's aweful, it truly is a sad day

This is sad news, and another great loss for the DF community.

I'm deeply saddened and devastated at this news.my thoughts are with him and his family and friends.
He is a model player and one i looked up to when i started playing.

I didnt know ONEBALL for long but he was always a joy to play with, never anything negative, just a real nice guy. He will be missed.

My prayers are with him and the family.
