I had the very same Idea a few months ago but then I thought the top 100 list is a hall of fame for itself why go through the trouble of voting? It takes a lot of effort to hit top 100 and you got most of the great names there. Perhaps the top 100 misses some other great pilots with great contribution to the game and forum like Sir Uncle Paul, Zuperman and others.

My suggestion, Top 100 is direct entry to Hall of Fame others (like 20 who are not on the 100 list) should be voted on based on the qualities you described. Plus, any Hall of famer can be voted out based on their behavior like being reported in the Blacklist thread for instance. This will make things easier

Use the ranking list. An Ace is an Ace no matter when he/she last flew/played. It’s enough to see who has few crashes, many winning games and so on. One interesting thing is to divide players killed versus deads. I personally believe Zuperman only has to add a column of (killed/deads) to find who you really should stay away from.

Ok everone this hall of fame isnt for who is more highly ranked thats what rankings for lol so please thank u for ur ideas but i got this have u ever seen in the NFL stats are not always the deciding factor on eho gets in ed sabol didnt even play in the NFL but he was the maker of NFL films that why he is in the NFL hall of fame.... Another thing guys girls i know some of u may feel angry or upset that i put 3 misfits on the candidates list but hear me out on this first greyghost for one is a great player and has created the fastest growing squad to date...... Bhfoust well he has climbed the rankings so fast its hard to keepn up i think hes 24 now but a month ago he wasnt even in the top 100 thats amazing he will be number 1 in no time.... And gina i added her because of her current health issues if u have any questions please pm me.... im totally serious and we are redoing list so those two can be on it if eveyone else is ok with it and i didnt make the last list those were suggestions from everone other than 5 that i putnin there to get the list started but doesnt matter new list!!

I'm not mad at all... I was just stating the obvious. There are a lot of players that are not so active at the moment that did a lot to build this little community. Generally, a hall of fame would celebrate the long term contributions of involved people. The list that was posted was more of a whose who at the moment. Either way, Strachan is so far above everyone at the top of this thing that ignoring him would make such a list almost comical. MOM is far and away the most established squad on here. Simply look at the view and reply count and compare it to the other squads. Now honestly, MOM = Wig. Read thru their pages, and especially page 1. Wig is the talent behind that. Ignoring him is also ludicrous. That was my point. If it caused a need for aspirin, sorry.

Let me put it this way.... The Hansen kids were real popular for a while, but you don't bump Elvis and put them in the rock n roll hall of fame instead.

Not forgetting FALCON, the oldest and most organized squad here. Simply look at falcon.spurz website and you dont mention falcon without Vonpay, he put the "v" in 'achieVement' of the squad, Qazfda the founder, Skydavis, Storm, Kevy, Mad, Alex, Singh, Swop, Green, Jeramy (Gurdian1) and many others. What I am trying to say is there is a lot of factors to consider and the dogfight community is now pretty diverse. Think about it...

We have done this already in the past. We had it categorized!

For game players it is pretty easy, just look at the ranking page for the stats.

How would you categorize forum? Graphics, videos, pictures, most posts, highest karma, lowest karma, least posted, highest thank yous, lowest thank yous?

I think your concept is honorable, but can you truly judge a combination of game and forum without it becoming a popularity contest? There are people that are here longer than others and comparing those type of stats or even a person will be a lot harder to do.

I do not thinks it is fair to single out a couple of players. I think it will then become an argument why such and such a person deserves it more over another. This may lead to division rather than a unified community recognizing a few.

This may be dangerous ground, I may be wrong, but I have seen some squads having problems with this in the past! I just ask that you carefully tread with this.

I'd like to re-open this thread and put to the mods and perhaps even Zup, to come up with criteria to induct 4 or 5 players into hall of fame. My initial suggestion is to take the top 10 pilots and have all the mods vote based on criteria. Then the 5 that get the highest are inducted to a Hall of Fame thread that gets pinned up. Perhaps even have a Hall of Fame squad, I don't know, Im just throwing stuff out, plus, I just like the idea and think Its a nice gesture.
