I am revising the scope of this thread. I'm changing the Spawnkiller thing and adding campers. I will attempt to define these here.

Spawnkiller=shooting players at the point of take off with no team mates around or possible addition to the assigned mission. Killing for fun or stats.

Camper=relentlessly circling a spawn point and shooting players at the point of take off with out any possible addition to the mission. Killing for fun or stats.

Neither of these will be carrying a bomb at any time in a game. You can identify them easily. They will be shooting around your team and destroying them endlessly with superman like reflexes. They will have a jet with no bomb and you will have a brick with wings and a bomb. If you do not drop, they will kill you. Sometimes they will fly high over the field and come to your base just to SK you and your team mates.

You do not have to SK them. The pay back you dish can be in the air. I would advise a SK or 2 if you get the chance but that is up to you.

The game above I spent stomping the life out of Jane. It was brutal. I flew through all the other reds and destroyed her after the attempted spawning. The game below is the last meeting we had. I spawned into the game and guess who the little red dot behind my airport is. Jane Doe. A little brake and she over shot me. Bang, bang, bang, your dead Jane. Uh O. BlüE is here and I was trying to spawnkill him again. He just shot me dead and holds a grudge, it may be time to leave.

Hovering over a base or carrier with out a bomb or a team mate in sight and killing every one there relentlessly over and over is spawn killing. Once or twice in a run or protecting your team or own life is fine. I will spawn a feller now and again for this purpose. Also by design at a point in a protect the zep game. When the zep is close to the enemy base. Bomb dumping is fine if that's your thing. If i catch you at my base circling like a vulture I kill you over and over and put the pics here. There is a difference between camping/spawnkilling and SK for the mission. I know the difference. Jane stays on my list as do all the rest that are there. I jammed Kero in a game with Flymagic. Didn't take any pics but Kero got the point. Calle i will get to when she returns to the game. Caught me when the apple update was bad and android was updated. So if you don't have any thing to add to my thread get off of it. You will be able to come here and cry when I get the screen shots of your destruction. Camp at my base please. Try and spawn kill me please. I dare you.

spawning for tactical reasons is fine, as max said in zep games. the only time i shoot at a plane on the ground is with bomb onboard and inbound. otherwise i let people take off. it works just as well to let them chase you around the base as it does to be a dick and them shoot on the ground.

So after you kill a spawn killer do you spawn kill them a while...Sounds like a big mess. by the time it's all over there's going to be spawn everywhere...fly right and lead by example , instead of spawn killing spawn killers....spawn spawn spawn

Thanks for the advice O wise one. You play the way you want and I will play the way I want. Let the spawnkillers play the way they want until I see them in a game. Why are you so worried about Spawnkiller pay backs? Afraid you may get a spanking for it? When I need an example to follow I will keep you in mind. Last I checked this wasn't a what's your opinion on spawnkilling topic.

I think that's unnecessarily harsh. However...

I hate habitual spawnkillers. They make new players leave. If I get spawnkilled myself (by someone in a plane), I consider it my fault for not timing my brake release. But what it does to noobs bugs me greatly. I wish it were against the rules, and I wish it could be more easily enforced (which is primarily why it's not against the rules, IMO).

Would I engage in vigilante justice?
- Sure, I would target habitual spawnkillers like KAF when they are red. I already do. In a cloud of red, they are my first choice, by a LONG way.
- No, I would not spawnkill them. This is a personal decision, since it's not against the rules. It's a habit for me to look elsewhere if there is a red at the spawn point. I think this is a good habit, because (a) there is usually someone else gunning for me and I should be looking out, and (b) it's a more satisfying fight if I wait until they are airborne. But wheels off and into the first turn, they are fair game. (Unless it's a noob, in which case I would let them get farther. And if there's no one else around, maybe there's a coaching opportunity.)
- No, I do not kill these spawnkillers if they are blue. I exit to try to get on the other side, so I can kill them AND advance the team goal. Or I just leave, because I don't like playing with anyone I think is taking advantage of the game and noobs (spawnkillers and no-names come to mind).

Would I ban for someone spawnkilling a spawnkiller?
- Only if the kill is a teamkill (i.e., friendly fire).

Does musicious have a point about this becoming a big mess?
- Yes. While this thread might try to make it clear who is spawnkilling to discourage spawnkilling, after a while, no one will know who started what. It seems like it should be obvious, but trust me, it won't. At that point, Zup will be lobbied to add yet another immunity scenario in a game that is otherwise free of silly little protections. Until that point, I can do my thing, Max can do his, Whose can do his. Will it make any difference? I doubt it. I think habitual spawnkillers will just start leaving when these guys show up. That makes a difference in their games, but it won't be widespread. No telling what will happen when Zup's new server selections takes effect. The habitual spawnkillers will say that they are no longer killing noobs, yet many of us will maintain that spawnkilling is a cheap shot and should not be done habitually. At that point, maybe I'll just buy the game again and start as a noob.

Well put Manny. May be it was harsh what I said to Muscious but there are plenty of debate threads on thie subject. What I am trying to say is they deserve what they get. I'm not advocating teamkilling them at all. I am saying visit them with the same sort of destruction they dish out. They will leave a game every time. Which is always a pleasure to see. They can dish it out but can never take it. The noobs may not be able to get pay back but the rest of us can. Always makes me wonder when I see the guys that do it, how many helpless noobs they have ran into the ground. I was a noob once. There was no immunity and. I didn't have a clue about the brake. Needless to say I took a beating in way more than one game. Now I can do something about it. I'm not saying I want them to change there spawnkilling ways. I'm not crying that they are spawnkillers. I'm saying if you can pay it back then do it. Take pictures and lets enjoy them. I'm saying if they can then spawnkill me. They can post it here if they get it done.

Firstly, I like Mus and think he's selling a valid point. However, I think he's made an attempt at high jacking this thread, albeit unintentionally. I can see the reason behind Max's "harsh" response (yes I think it was... A little). Nobody likes to see their thread jacked.

If you have something new to say about spawn killing, there's a dedicated thread for that. Some very wise old bird started it a little while back. I'd love to see something new on there. It'll be hard though. Most of what needs to be said has been said ad nauseam. Below is a link to the thread and a recent quote from a relatively new player that makes Manfred's point quite well. As for this thread, many of us "mid-classmen", joined 6-8 months ago and have been traveling through the ranks together, WTG, Max, me and several others. We've ranked up together to a fairly high rank now. We've suffered abuse, but have now caught up (nearly) or passed many of these "habitual spawnkillers" in the rank and have developed enough prowess to not only avoid the cheap shots, but take down those doing it. I know that a little payback feels really nice, from experience. With a few minor exceptions, I still choose to let even the SKers up when I hold the advantage. They may get a little less quarter than others, but I still give them a chance. It gives me satisfaction when I get the better of them that way and I keep a little bit of the higher moral ground. I feel like it gives me a little more credibility when I admonish them for abusing lower ranks (which I do). I have a very short list of players to whom I do not extend that courtesy and yes, I will probably snap some shots and post it here. I like the idea of this thread. It's the name and shame thread all over again with more focus and TEETH.

Wish I possessed the flying skill it takes to pound the whole lot of habitual spawnkillers into the virtual dirt. Some days I am in the zone, and other days I'm shooting in between pixels, while lines of bullets seem to swerve toward me.

This thread was thought for ScreenShots and not to start a new campaign against spawnkillers. And I don't think it motivates newer players to do the same. Either they don't understand what the cause is or they exactly know what happens there. And then they will think twice if they really want provoke such people.

Some that do it aren't forum members. Some just don't care. Some are just there to pad stats. Imperfect virtual world we live in. The mental list I have is much longer than the one here unfortunately. I gave up trying to understand and went this route a long time ago.
