Well, well... I think I can come with some good news. We've been looking for moderators and GM for a while but it's no easy task due to some legal stuff.

We are finally ready... so this is how we are going to do it.
RULES:
1) Be over 18 (this may require some proof of Id). Sorry guys but we have to require it to be legally "old" since you are taking matters into your hand (banning, muting, removing people from game, etc...).
2) Have a cool head. Meaning, you are the type of person that can see nasty posts and just remove them or contact Echoboom if in doubt but don't begin a "forum war".
3) Send an email with why you think you can be a good mod or GM to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (some have sent one already but you would need to resend it again now that it's official).
4) Referrals will help. So any email by a current mod/gm supporting you (again to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) will add points.

FUNCTION:
You will be the guardian of the game. This means you should be able to log in regularly into the forum/game and help clean up spam, move wrong messages into its sections, mute/unmute nasty players and so on.
But your function is not only to remove evil. Your function also includes to promote a fun and a camaraderie atmosphere: a spirit of friendly good-fellowship.

Paul has my full recommendation. Outspoken but levelheaded, I think he'd make a good mod.

Von would be a pretty good mod. He's one of the best squad leaders in Dogfight, I think he'd be a good leader for the whole game.

Black Flag would be great. He's not incredibly active on the forum, but very mature. Slenderman trusts him, I think that should be recommendation enough.

J, possibly. He's fairly new, compared to the others, but definitely meets the requirements.

420 has my recommendation, but I know that there have been issues in the past. I think she's worthy of a second chance.

Kevy would be a good addition. We can't let Enigma have all of the power. (We should have most of it, though.)

Luna, if you're willing to wait a few months or bend the first rule a tiny bit. Myself, in three years.

And... Look at the MOM, Enigma, 111th, and NLR threads. It's four in the morning, and I've got church in four hours, so I'm not gonna type all of those names out.

:EDIT: Wat Up Dogfight, if he can be persuaded to come back. He's known to play a game called Battle Bears Royale, I figure if we asked around enough, we might find him. He was terrific. Calm, levelheaded, mature, played ethically, and an overall badass. (If he read this, he'd tell me not to swear. He did it even when I wasn't swearing. )

Von pay all the way. He would make a awesome mod. He is always level headed and keeps a list on our squad site of all the people team killing cursing causing problems and all sorts of things. He has that list up so our squad can watch out for them and avoid there crap. I think he also reports the really bad ones to the mods or the ones who we can say are bersrkers and break all the rules every game every minute.

calvin i would reccomend but hes like 12 or 13 im almost 15?!!! if thats old enough lol. i think throttle would be good he is always calm. he handles matters responsfully from what ive seen.

Throttle, Luna, and myself are too young, you have to be 18. (By law or by personal choice?)

Maybe for Dogfight Forum Cruise Director. Maybe for Forum Party Planner. But, moderator?

Think about it...100 chances for all offenders...mandatory cyber hand holding sessions...creation of a meditation spot on Duck Mountain!

But, seriously...he would be great at it and certainly has my full non-vote! Come on 'Z'...make it happen!

What all equipment or electronic devices would a person need to be a moderator also what does it involve?
Or what would your duties be as a moderator?

You are right for the wrong reasons.
I may choose to do things that other people think as wonderful, but I feel are needed. I do them because I can, and I choose to.
I also do not put up with crap on here. For instance, you ZANDOR , you left a comma out of a sentence 2 months ago....banned for a day...

There is a proper way to handle things here and it is behind the scenes with private messages.
That is how I choose to do them. So here is the second nonvote. Balance ...0.

A moderator is a babysitter. The rest of us just come in to help change the diapers.

Dave, you don't need any equipment other than a good connection and a decent device to play on. As for your job, you uphold a fair and decent style of playing by banning and muting people who are ruining gameplay.
