I have heard that many pilots flying under 111th Falcon Squadron banner are doing wrong, using bad language. If a pilot is not listed in our Official Member List, he or she is NOT an official member of the squad.

You can find our Official Member List on our squad web. Thank you.

Define *young*. Watup and Bomer are 15, and I know that MBizzi's 27, not sure about the other 31s though.
See you in the skies!

By young, I mean teenager. Watup has been around longer than bomer, so I think of bomer as more of a new kid the block, even though I know he's been playing for awhile himself. I don't really think of Watup as an active player anymore, since I never see him around. That's why I didn't mention him as well.

Thx for sticking up for me everyone and u toop it wrong way nj i just meant in a positve way possible. I respect falcons alot, really wasnt trying to be mean just saying the list is outdated. So others who are falcons and who arent would get a better view of who they are gonna be up against. Like i dont count chan or watup as part of squad since they quit. Part i mean they are gonna be part of squad wars.

Greetings friends of The 111th Falcons,

Forgive the intrusion, I feel compelled to make you aware of something you may not know. M.O.M (The Mean Old Men squad) lost one of our pilots, Kevin aka Legendofkane, to cancer yesterday. For those of you who haven't heard the story, here is the original posting we received under Kevin's forum banner:

legendofkane wrote: Hello, my name is Michael, Kevins brother, he left me instructions on how to find this site and said since hes always logged in,he said it shouldnt be any trouble to post here. I am on his laptop now and this is an intresting game, but now to why Im here, Kevin told me that he told you of his illness and he put off going to the doctor for a long time which i think would have helped him, hates hospitals. He said all of you let him join you despite him being "green" and i thank you for that, he loves family, especially wig(?) on here, he never knew his real dad since he was adopted. It is therefore with deep regret that i should inform you that Kevin died Wednsday afternoon on the table, during his operation Kevin went into cardiac arrest and with his body already unstable and undergoing partial tumor removal, the doctors tried but was unable to save him,I believe he did not suffer nor was in pain..He LEFT THIS LETTER FOR ALL OF YOU IN MoM....."DEAR GUYS, i go into surgery in about two hours and im bored so im writing this, if you're seeing this letter then all didnt go as planned and i have no fears,if you dont see it, then i will be on in a few days(why am i writin this part if no one will see it?),we start to die the minute we are born.I thank WIG for for helpin me join and ALL OF MOM that let me in as well, and to the members i fought and played with.and to those that i didnt,Thank You, you were my new family. You knew how to play, viciously, graciously, and light-heartedly,i think this squadron will grow more and more as others will see how you are,not about just winning, but caring, and teamwork..and killin each other in dogfights, gotta tell ya, it was always a scary sight to see a red MoM badge come over that horizon, i was always hesitant about firing on them.Whenever you're playing the game, look to those generated clouds and you might see me, not as the terror for which i was feared (HAH!),but as a brother- in- arms. So dont be sad at this, thats life,so open up a brew, pour a 40 on the curb, and go kill some red badges, and yes, even if its another MoM,..oh by the way,if you're tired of fightin do like i did (if not already), take your plane straight up to the max and touch the screen to look down, sorta peaceful seein all that land below, quiet, i died enuf in the clouds, i wanna check em out for a while.

It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to, than I have ever known.
kevin aka legendofkane signing out"

Several of us from different squads have discussed a game-wide tribute flight to honor Kevin's memory. My thought is that we choose a time (possibly two or three so that players in different time zones will have a chance to participate) and gather in-game to simply fly together and remember a fallen comrade. Stay as long as you like, drop out of one "no fight" mission and into another to fly with a different group, leave whenever you choose.

With your permission I'll interrupt your thread once more when we have the details of the plan in place. Meanwhile I welcome the chance to hear from any of you directly (three spaces between the dot and the w in "wigbomb") with suggestions or simply to say hello, we'll be grateful for your input.

It's always a pleasure flying with the 111th, your support during this difficult time will be deeply appreciated by all of us in M.O.M.

All best regards,

Rick (aka . wigbomb)

111th Falcon comrades,

Once again, please pardon this invasion of your thread privacy. I want to let you know the plans that have been established for the Dogfight Memorial to Kevin, Legendofkane, who passed away this week:

Next Monday, August 27, we will be flying "no fight flights" at three different times throughout the day. In order to allow for players of all time zones who might care to participate to do so, we'll be flying together at 4pm, 9pm and again at 1am, all EST. (convert accordingly for your time zone) It's hard to know how to determine a cutoff time so if you feel so inclined declare that you are paying tribute to Kane and invite the other players to follow suit. If it happens to be an hour later than the predetermined time I'm sure everyone will still want to participate.

Let the players in-game know in case they haven't heard, then please fly together with us, fly in formation or solitude, hug the ground or reach for the clouds, drop synchronized bombs if you choose...no firing, no one shot down, one fallen brother-in-arms in our thoughts. Stay as long as you care to and simply exit...or hit the ceiling, cut the throttle, enjoy the view on the way down...then crash. We'll each have one crash in our stats that represents Kevin. It's up to the individual, of course. Fly in silence, share thoughts, whatever you feel the moment calls for.

Kevin was - as we almost all are - a friend we never actually met, but he touched our lives in ways that our touching his could not have predicted. He regarded all of us in Dogfight, not only in the M.O.M Squadron, as his family. We can shoot each other down, "viciously, graciously..." as Kevin said, but he's reminded us that this is a community of real people, most of them genuinely decent, caring and compassionate. Your condolences over his loss have been ample proof of that.

Again, on behalf of M.O.M, our deepest thanks to our friends of the 111th. Please don't hesitate to pass the word to other players and squads. And please, if you can, join us on Monday. Your presence will be more than welcome.

All best regards,

Rick

He regarded all of us in Dogfight, not only in the M.O.M Squadron, as his family. We can shoot each other down, "viciously, graciously..." as Kevin said, but he's reminded us that this is a community of real people, most of them genuinely decent, caring and compassionate. Your condolences over his loss have been ample proof of that.

Again, on behalf of M.O.M, our deepest thanks to our friends of the 111th. Please don't hesitate to pass the word to other players and squads. And please, if you can, join us on Monday. Your presence will be more than welcome.

All best regards,

Rick

One More Roll..... (a poem for kevin)

We toast our hearty comrades who have fallen from the skies, and were gently caught by God's own hand to be with him on High.

To dwell among the soaring clouds they've known so well before. From victory roll to tail chase, at heaven's very door.

As we fly among them there, we're sure to head their plea. To take care my friend, watch your six, and do one more roll for me.

— Commander Jerry Coffee, Hanoi, 1968.
